As a mother of 4, this story gives me chills. I only hope I can be so brave to protect my children if god forbid if something like this happens....

Yeah, he tried to rob some rich white folks... but does killing a man when he probably had no intent of doing so to you... does that feel just?

Think about that. The man had to get in a car and drive away with more than enough gunshot wounds in his FACE, and crash into a tree before he was brought to the hospital.

Can you imagine how terrified he must have been?

Yes, the family was prolly terrified too... but Iit honestly doesnt sound like he was out to kill anyone...

If you break into someone's house, be prepared to die, especially if that someone has kids and a gun. Fuck you, he deserved to die for his decision.

OP told his story, I’ll tell mine once more.

When I was a kid a group of people kicked in my door dragged me out to my front lawn put me on my hands and knees and put a gun to my head. I watched 50+ cars drive by, some even slowed down to look but no one stopped, not one person stopped to help a child with a gun to his head. I ended up facing 20-to life at the age of 17 because of that day, cops even testified in my behalf. I learned you can only rely on you, period.


No one will protect your family but you and your family.

The real victimes are the wife and children who had to defend themselves not the criminal.

Guy had a crowbar vs. two children and a woman he was chasing. He made his intentions clear by kicking open three locked doors then going in to the attic, if he just wanted to rob them he would not have hunted them down like he did.

Never assume you know the intentions of your attackers, because most likely they don’t know the intentions themselves. When they realize it might mean life in jail for them whether or not you live or die, you are as good as dead because it will not affect their sentencing, Best to kill you so you can’t Id them.

Can you imagine being the father on the phone as your wife and kids are cornered and you’re on the phone with the cops and no one can do anything. If she didn’t have a gun we would most likely have three dead people.

She might have just saved the attacker from life in jail, not to mention stoping this POS from robbing another family. Chew on that for a while.

Under Canadian, Australian or British law, SHE would have been arrested and charged with attempted murder for using an unregistered, unlicensed gun. (CABs, correct me if I'm wrong.)

And cause he's black, he will get some blood sucking lawyer and try and sue the homeowners..

She should have made sure he was doa..

You have got to be kidding!?! If you listened to the 911 call at all, the "poor" bad guy came straight to where they were and wasn't dissuaded by the fact that there were children present. Do you think he went straight to the attic just to make sure there were people there so he could say uh oops sorry, didn't know you were home, have a good day, I'm leaving. It is very unfortunate to both parties to have been in that situation, but damn, you seriously don't see the life threatening situation that mother and children were in? He came through the house straight to the attic!

To be honest, yes. It is events like this that bring up bad memories and flash backs. I have put it all behind me, but your mind will always remember these events like they are movies.that you say yesterday. Horror movies that is.

Thew root problem is the people and our society. It is not the guns persay, but the whole root of our society is rotten and until the root cause is addressed, all this talk and debates about guns is just theatrics for the gun grab that will happen until there are no guns.

What we are seeing is not just laws that will eventually ban all guns, but biblical prophecy that says they must follow through with this regardless of the resistance.

Isaiah 2:4 - He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Thanks for sharing your story. Wow man, I AM sorry to hear about that and at such a young age. I take it you ended up shooting one of them or? But you are right, self reliance will be key in the coming years. Physically, mentally, spiritually and materially.

.38 is a weak round, but I’m glad the guy lived. The kids did not need to see the guy’s head blown off. But in hind sight she should get a .357 or a tarsus judge for home defense.

And no I never shot them, they never intended to kill me in the yard, they threw me in a car to drive me to another location! I never let the car get there and I walked away unhurt after the crash. Time stopped when they put me in that car, super slow motion…I still tear up, and I knew it was my last ride.

One was released with no charges, I know why… One served 5 years in jail and a lot of parole after and the third we never saw again at all. I believe they charged him with a myriad of thing. I never even had to testify. They never even charged them for what happened in the yard; they charged them with kidnaping because the guys admitted on record they put me in the car by force.


I never even had an arrest on file after everything was dropped in court.

It was a real life changer and change I did, met my wife just after and been with her ever sense, over 20 years now.

What about attempted homicide, assault, etc? Burglary and unlawful entry don't begin to describe what this subhuman did.

Maybe so. But this burglar wasn't quite human. Otherwise he would not have stalked the little children through the house.

Lawyers are advocates and if it's your lawyer, he's your advocate. Police are good folks in my experience, but they can't protect you if you say the wrong thing. Then they would be committing a crime and could lose their job, etc.

I agree with your opinion of lawyers, they tend to be unpleasant and devious people. Law school can turn a good guy into an asshole, I've seen it happen with an acquaintance of mine. After 1 1/2 years of law school he was changed and I no longer liked him.

But if it's your lawyer, follow the advice.

Problem is he a held back black thug.. and there's some crazy law that after you 'disable' you're attacker, it's over kill and becomes some sort of crime..

Those are different issues:
(1) whether the mother committed a crime (of course to me she didn't) vs.
(2) what crimes the invader committed (what I am asking above).

It seems that once a home invader gets in your home, it's fair game both ways. If he stalks your children, there is no additional charge. But at least if you injure or kill him, there's no charge either.

Is the home "up for grabs" once he gets in the door via burglary? Is that the crazy theory the prosecutors have?

It seems the legal system is trying to make us unable to defend our homes. This is one way. Another is by taking away the best home defense weapons that would really scare an invader off from trying: so-called assault rifles or carbines.

Oh i agree 100%/ but what i agree with really don't matter much.. i've noticed that these kind of things have happened before. my understanding that according to laws already on the books.. once a victim has rendered the intruder harmless enough that the intruder is no longer a 'threat' to the victim's well being. Anything over an beyond that turns into a 'crime' Or makes the victim into the criminal
