Apophis is no longer a threat to hit us in 2036!
Hat tip to Halcyon Dayz for finding this article. Yesterday Apophis passed by our planet at a distance of about 9 million miles. The Goldstone tracking station in California has been tracking this asteroid for about the last week now using radar, and those observations have allowed astronomers to refine the orbital determination and rule out any possibility of an impact in 2036. It will still make a very close pass in 2029, but it turns out that it will be farther from us in 2036 than it was yesterday.

The Bible is full of astronomical predictions for the end times, such as the sun being 7 times brighter, and the moon being as bright as the sun. Also Wormwood will fly past, heavens roll up like a scroll, moon turn red etc.
There are many, many celestial events described in the Bible that are unknown or not understood by modern astronomers, what do you think could explain some of these events?

serious question

Those aren't events.

Most people take the Apocalypse as a work of allegory, some even think it refers to events happening at the time.

No, a star will not fall into the ocean and turn it bitter.
Stars are to big to fit in any ocean.
