Exactly. Too many things wrong with the whole idea that we can be absolved of any responsibility for how we conduct ourselves by a martyr sacrificing himself for us. If it made sense our court systems would be following that same example of 'justice'.

If you seriously study the history of the Christian church and literature, you'll find the probable authors and who the historical people were. Jesus is a combination of Yeshu of the Babylonian Talmud, Josephus, Apollonius, and Lucius Plutarch. Baccus Son of Panther, Hesus and Krishna were gods thrown in there.

And Jesus was the composite Great Man made into a God After his Death that replaced all the previous dead men/gods such as Julius Carsar and others.

Go back to medieval times and ask around. There was *THE* church. That's it. Catholics were not just a sect of Christianity; they essentially WERE Christianity.

The inclusion of the 'Old Testament' covers the Judaistic base. Christmas trees, Easter bunnies, etc., were to placate the pagans. And so on.

The quote from Josephus was a known forgery. Besides that, everything said about jesus (and it wasn't much) was written years after he supposedly lived. It was hearsay. Same with Tacitus. So no one who lived at the time of Jesus wrote one word about him. There was no one who recorded his date of birth. Even though thousands supposedly witnessed him rising from the dead, no one recorded that date either. You won't find stories of Jesus in secular history books. Jesus is like Paul Bunyan and Hercules. He was a myth, taken from earlier Egyptian myths about "sun" gods.

How did he save my soul ? Is the shithole called earth what I get after being saved ? This world seems like a place without soul. Doesn't make sense to me.
