Same news every freaking year.. The people that are getting sick are most likely very deficient in something the body needs to help the immune system. So I would get a blood test and work from the results.

I was in the clinic today and there were a lot of sick people. I was only there for a bit and am supposed to go back tomorrow but I am cancelling appt. for a later date...don't want to be around the hacking and sneezing.

Its not the flu.
I have had the flu three times, diferrent each time.
But one thing in common, it kicks your ass, puts you in the bed for a week, comes close to or actually kills you.

I was at cvs earlier today & all these people coming in for flu shots & vaccine bullshit. I laughed at one guy as I left cause they told him they're out of flu shot.

I said go check rite aid down the street, we could use less Sheeple.

First I heard that people who got the flu shot are still getting this flu and then today I just read that this strain of flu is covered in the flu shot. So media, which is it?
I know my dad had a nasty bug a few weeks ago, don't know if it was this strain of flu, and he had the flu shot.

On the news yesterday, they said that in places like Boston it was poor people mostly being affected. Kind of strange how you have not heard of any celebrities being sick or politicians etc. Do they know something the rest of us don't!

Also, why do people run to the er when they get flu symptoms. Stay home, tough it out and don't go out and spread more germs!

Just getting over the flu. Symptoms started Tuesday morning, chills/body ache so I went home and slept most of Tuesday. However the flu that I got was a monster, it will knock the socks right off of you. Fever got very high so I took some Nyquil knocked the fever down a good chunk and helped with the pain management,(Hips felted like I'd gone rounds in a kickboxing fight)Nyquil helped me get some sleep and kept the fever down. Next day I got some Dayquil to keep the fever and pain down was still noticeable on Thursday but I was just recovering by then. Friday morning right now and pains almost completely gone fatigue is still there sinus's are a bit stuffy and chest a bit clogged but its fading away. If you don't do anything for the first day of symptoms this Flu will kill you, its fucking brutal.

Is the flu showing up this bad in any other countries? Are other countries pushing the shot? Just curious.

near this sick before. Finally went and got meds, the usual remedies barely scratch this stuff. Got 9hrs, sleep it's starting to turn. It's like a 2 stage sickness. The first stage it's seems like it's defeated and then Wham.

No it isn't a coincidence they are desperate because they can't treat the secondary infections like they used to. You get the flu, it weakens your system you might get pneumonia, or some other nasty respiratory infection.

Up until recently, if you went to the doctor with this secondary infection they would have prescribed a course of antibiotics and you would have recovered.

Problem is that antibiotics aren't working as well as they once did, the bugs are adapting.

So it's a bit like fighting a fire, if there is no water coming from the tap you grab a woollen blanket and try and smother the thing.

That is all the doctors are trying to do, better to have people not get the flu in the first place than risk not being able to help them if they get sick.

Problem is that it's likely too late to get the shot anyway, it's about 3 or 4 weeks before your immune system is prepped for the bug and that supposes the strain circulating is in the vaccine.
