I've read that taking 10.000 IU of D per day for 390 days is toxic. Guess that's false then?

Yea, I only have 1k IU because i heard if you take 5k or 10k for a certain amount of time its toxic and something else could happen i forget. Should i get 5k?

The best overall maintenance dose for an adult (on a daily basis), is two doses (morning and evening) of 2,000 iu's each.

Are you overweight?
Are you taking it with oil?
How is your diet?

Vit d3 is not a miracle pill...as much as I want to be.

Humans are not meant to ingest vitamin D. They are designed to create their own by being outside in the sunlight.

It's recommended that you take 3 capsules per day. And it contains 800 IU D3 and 50 mcg K2 per capsule. Perhaps it's worth it.

i have few colds also. and you know what the odd thing is? im not even one of these people who pore over their diet and lifestyle. i keep my stress and worrying in check, but actually my diet/lifestyle isnt great

am i just lucky? or am i missing the hypochondria gene many people seem to be afflicted with?

nobody knows whats down the line. plenty of the 'worried well' end up dead too soon. probably from worrying about their health and having pointless scans at great cost to allay their fears

i wonder how more northern climes manage with all those very dark days - places like scandinavia, iceland

went to iceland for a week a few years back. i swear, i saw one slight chink of sunlight (or rather brightness) the entire time. very oppressive cloud cover. thought the uk was bad!

Then there are those of us who cannot expose ourselves to that much sunlight, so creating our own is not a viable option.

Maybe it depends on which form of D3 you're taking. I've posted this before so bear with me.
A lady I know who works at a health food store told me it took 3 different forms of D3 for her blood teeter to show an upward level of it.

Seems to me since all forms of life have dietary ups and downs with the seasons, ie., we get apples in the fall, I don't see the need for constant high levels of anything (except water) 365 on a daily basis despite the hype.

Then it follows constant high levels might have a body saying 'enough already' at a certain point then one's system has to suffer another thing to make up for the oddity.

That said, I found Vitacost 5,000 IU lanolin derived (liquid) soft perls. Think I paid about $14 for a bottle of 365 perls, one year.
Not being one to rush out for a blood test I have no idea how well this form is working for me.
But, when a person is exposed to the public all day every day then you have to arm yourself nutritionally for a few months at least...and then back off to a lower dose...or take a break for a week off & on.
This makes more sense to me.

I loooove my vitamin D! I take it every day, it helps significantly with my moods/SAD issues...I feel its very important for our immune system and many people don't realize just HOW deficient their bodies really are!
