This is quite strange. Not the OP's situation, but the person that came on here to gloat about a job offer. Then after the person said he was serious about it, the guy just waited an hour very early in the morning and gloated that he guess the OP did not want it.

Anyway y advice to the OP. GET out of America dude. Quite seriously it is not worth it anymore. People just want to lord it over you these days. What the person did here was horrific and immature.
