Not that its not cold in the plains and west now. Its a freak show in the west with temps in Nevada over 35 below normal.

Yes, they have snow in the forcast for MD this week. We are in the 60's now.

The other consideration too is when the temps jump around like that people get sick. I thought the flu just peaked, and was now in down tick. We all need to be careful.

You are getting some of the Alberta cold and tomorrow we will be getting the US weather. It will be like from -14 yesterday to +42 tomorrow

I dont know. Seems like everytime they forecast some cold, it never makes it to us. Might get cold a day or two then right back to above normal. Eastern Pa.

Just in - this morning's low dropped to -20ºF at the Grand Canyon airport, tying their lowest temp of any day since records began in 1976.

North Los Angeles is freezing right now. Arizona colder than Anchorage? I don't care what kind of ocean currents there are up there in Alaska, that's just not right.
My guess is we are heading into another mini ice age.

Well i don't know about the mini ice age, we are in the midle of a massive SSW event with a strong possibility of a complete polar vortex collapse. Next week will be brutal cold to US...

Mt. Washington is reputed to have the world's worst weather. They have hurricane force winds more than 100 days out of the year. And clocked over 200 mph back in 1934 or something like that.
