Re: Can't find a job.
Just go to college if you don't know what to do...

When I graduated from High School I wanted to be in the fashion industry but then my parents kind of changed my mind ... no i am studying biotechnology and I have great grades... I'm sure that I will find a good job after I graduate because I will be helping some professors in the laboratory this summer :) ....

Re: Can't find a job.
I've been trying to find a job for over 3 months.

Out my app in everywhere, even places like McDonald's,Taco Bell, janitor at the hospital, etc.

I'm 20 years old, male, clean background,HS Diploma, don't do drugs.

What gives?

Maybe you've got a bad resume. I write resumes for a living, and I can tell you that a bad resume will ruin the chances of the best candidate more than any other single factor. Invest in the services of a professional resume writer and you'll at least be guaranteeing yourself some interviews.

Beyond that, consider creating work rather than 'finding' it. What are you good at? What are your skills? What do you need to learn? At your age, you should be willing to be doing ANYTHING, from shoveling snow to mowing grass to running errands to cleaning toilets, even babysitting. If you've got a car, deliver pizzas or groceries or offer to help seniors for a 'donation'.

Volunteer where you can network and showcase your skills. Tell everyone that you're looking for work and are willing to do anything legal. Take the lowest grunt job (if that's all you can find) and do it to the best of your ability. It sounds to me like you're being tested. Pass your test with flying colors.

NO-ONE IS OWED A JOB. NO-ONE IS OWED WORK. Earning a daily wage is a privilege, not a right. Make sure that you've earned that privilege by making the best of the gifts and talents God's given you, and always be open to learning new skills.

Attitude is everything.

Oh, and maybe spend less time on the computer, unless you're actually using it towards finding/creating a job. :0)

All the best to you, OP! Maybe check back in another three months and let us know how things are going.

Re: Can't find a job.
Try Select Services. I got a temp job from them real fast. If there is one in your area you can just come in once you have applied. You take an easy safety test and then you go to work the next day. Pay is low not gonna lie.

They are all over the country i believe.

Re: Can't find a job.
If no record of felonies and a US citizen then try Mil Sealift. It is a good doorway. You are still a civilian.
We are going like Europe. You don't see 18 wheelers all over Europe like here in the US. Soon you will see much fewer here. They don't need them in Europe as they have full sea cabotage. A part of the Jones Act was changed to build roads and sell cars and trucks. It limited most everything to 2 ports, Elizabeth City and Long Beach. If you took something from, say China, into one port and then shipped to another port in the US it would add another 12% onto rate. That is being undone. LaHood, the present Sec. of Transportation, is opening 40.........Forty....., more ports, East, West, Gulf and Great Lakes.
Get in any door that you can on this. You can email me on side for more.

Very interesting indeed. This will make it much easier to import and hide Chinese military personnel in the US. Obama will need them to quell the unrest and remove our guns....

Go join the Navy. Prep for the Asvab before you take the test so you can get the best schools.

Another good idea. Air Force was the best thing I ever did for myself ... got me into IT. And IT has been a good, solid career for me ever since.

Yeah, go Air Farce. You're practically a civilian.
