Message Subject Young men giving up on marriage: ‘Women aren’t women anymore’

I've been married for 8 years and just had my third baby with my husband. he's very happy with me and I attribute it to a few things I do that I think a lot of women out there don't.

I make him pies on occasion. Not that as a woman you have to make your man a pie, but make him his favorite food sometimes to remind him you think he's special.

I maintain my looks for him. I'm 5'7 and was a rough 150 after my 2nd baby. I hit the weights, hard, and got back to my high school weight of 125 and I could out do him in pullups, take that feminists, he wasn't threatened a bit, just motivated to hit the gym himself.

I make sure we have date nights away from the kids and the occasional weekend getaway by ourselves when we can. If you're poor, you can't do much but even if we just go parking for an hour somewhere, talk, canoodle, it helps to bring back the spark. If you structure your life completely around your kids, it is impossible to feel sexy or romantic.

We are both smart enough to realize marriage is a wave. You don't get to always stay at the peak. You will come down for a while and then you work your way back to the top. Neither of us take happiness for granted. When we married each other, we agreed it was a 24/7 job. I work hard for him and he works hard for me! Marriage is, like anything else in life, what you make of it. You can have a happy one but marry someone who is dedicated to working at it every day with you!

1) 8 years is fuck all, come back in a few more years

2) take care of yourself FOR YOURSELF

3) you sound well, suited. both complete dullards with a fucking plan for everything, even spontaneity is run with nazi-like punctuality

4) everything else - no shit sherlock

5) youre a man aint ya? the whole pull-ups = feminism was the kicker
