Today, I received the strangest phone call in my life...ask me a question

WTF did you talk about for 2 hours???

How did she get your phone number? Was it your cell phone she called? When I see unknown numbers calling me I don't pick-up.... If it's important they will leave a message.

Mostly I listened to her story. A successful business woman who apparently is being stalked by a high-end techno freak who has ruined her life. She wants to expose this technology.

It was not my cell phone. She was calling from a local number.

The fact that she's contacting you (complete stranger) randomly tells you one of two things:

1) SCAM

or

2) she's batshit crazy and you should disconnect your phone & change your number, lol

Said she tried getting help from local politicians and up to senators and beyond but they all turned a deaf ear. Apparently she comes from a very high-up political family and has been around the world attending events with kings, queens, the whole lot.

She also said people like Steve Jobs are not what they appear to be. Dick Cheney too - the worse of the lot. He gets off on seeing people taken out. Said he was behind 9/11 and actually wears waterproof jock-straps when events like that go down.

Am self-medicating now. Might be a little slow on further responses. Am pondering what to do with this information and why she called me in particular other than she 'knew' I would understand. This is not good. Oh, shit.

I bet she has relatives in Nigeria.

She sounded VERY intelligent and yet emotional. I have her number though and I will be checking it out through some buddies I know that may be able to help me find her location.

She didn't want money either. Nothing other than to call her and check up on her - which, of course, I will NOT be doing.

Some of these scammers have figured out that if they ask for money right away or are too pushy about what they want, they will scare away potential victims.... The ploy may be to build an emotional bond (relationship) with you first and then ask for what it is they ultimately want (usually $$$$).

It's a good thing that you don't plan on contacting this person again.

Yeah, for now. The next call will be where she says she's on the run, can't use her credit cards and can't withdrawal any money so she's broke.

Either she's a scam artist or schizophrenic.

What if you really do get "disappeared?" Would you not want some evidence to protect yourself?

Also, what if this lady is legit?

And she ends up disappeared?

Or you read about her in the newspaper in a week, about a mutilated corpse, raped and tortured, found underneath a bridge outside of your city?

Or....


she could be a recently divorced cougar, who is a little crazy, but wants to be your sugar momma.

She might be willing to give you the purse strings and checkbook for some real man action.


You must consider these things.


In reality though: scam from nigeria.

Others might be saved from similar scams if it is a scam.

Yep! And when they go thru her phone records, their prime suspect will be that guy she was on the phone to for TWO HOURS!!

And no one will ever remember that guy on the phone with her, for two hours was Anonymous Coward 12432310.
