She didn't want money either. Nothing other than to call her and check up on her - which, of course, I will NOT be doing.

The ploy may be to build an emotional bond (relationship) with you first and then ask for what it is they ultimately want (usually $$$$). It's a good thing that you don't plan on contacting this person again.
