Sandbanks come and with a big storm sandbanks go away again. This 'island' is not more than a big sandbank, without enough vegitation to hold the sand. One stormsurge and its gone again. |

Does seem to be an accelerated process as from my understanding it takes many many years to occur but maybe some unnoticed geological event has been helping. |
