ALERT - CONFIRMED - Wal Mart is NOT going to order any more ammo.

The clerk said that in order to get ammo you will have to get fingerprinted at a gunshop from now on. It's not just guns thyre after!

Talked to a local Walmart manager here in Texas who used to be a customer of mine when I was banking and is still a friend.

He told me they tried to place a "supplemental" order yesterday on some types of ammunition that they were either out of, or running on very short supply of, and he said, "While he hadn't recieved anything official from the supply warehouse for our area, he was told that they would not be shipping anymore ammo until further notice."

Why this is, he didn't know (probably didn't ask knowing him), and when "further notice" is, he has no idea.

He did say, that when the shipping/warehouse center got low on certain items, things like this did happen on occasion, since they try to ship first to higher volume stores in more populated areas...

I was just there to look for some 9mm. The employee behind the counter told me that his boss was told they weren't allowed to order any .223 ammo.

Funny how the op disappeared once we called him out on his lies. He tried to keep it up but too many people called his bluf...yet still got pinned. Guess GLP is looking for headlines not truth.

I've read the whole thread. There has been a lot to support what he's saying. A lot of separate personal accounts, many people that have also called, several that talked to people at the store, etc.

Like one person said they didn't believe him. "Too many people calling him out" just didn't happen.

I saw this thread when it was posted but did not get a chance to go down to Walmart till now to ask for myself. In The Walmart I just visited there was still guns up but not many. There was still ammo but just weird not popular sizes and not much of that left, maybe a few dozen boxes all together.

The guy working the sports department told me that they got a memo from corporate headquarters that stated he was no longer able to order any more ammo, and that all restocking of it was going to be ordered by corporate headquarters for now on. I asked if it was just a CT thing and he said no, as far as he knew it was nation wide.

Total BS. A gun is not an "arm" without ammo. The second amendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms. The government cannot disarm us by outlawing ammo.

Our RIGHT to self defense does not come from government, but from GOD. Government cannot take that RIGHT away. It's not possible.

Government's only hope is for morans like you to convince others that it can disarm us - and get us to actually demand to be disarmed for our own good.

Ammo IS am "arm" and that's why Napolitano bought over a billion rounds of HP.

Everybody's having trouble getting ammo due to the demand. Walmart is probably at the back of the line in terms of importance when it comes to who gets ammo first.

This same fearmongering happened back in 2008-2009.

We have 3 places to buy guns/ammo in town, the 2 private owned places are pretty much out of ammo so I went to Walmart.

Walmart had very little ammo left also, they had NO rounds for .223, 7mm, .243, 30-06, .308, 9mm, they had some shotgun shells and 1 box of .44 Mag. They were also out of almost all reloading supplies.

Talking to the sales guy he said his distributors told him they are out and have no idea when they'll have more ready to ship.

The sales guy said rummor has it the Govt. wants EVERY bullet/shell to have a bar code on it so it can be traced to the original buyer!!

I live a few blocks from Walmart Headquarters. I went to the local walmart today, again a few blocks from headquarters. I purchased 38 and 9mm ammo, yes the shelves weren't full, probably 1/2 empty. I asked the clerk if they were ordering more, he said yes they have and are and they should be getting a shipment in. Usually they get a shipment in every couple days and no they are not ceasing to order ammo. This is bunk.

If you had any clue what you were talking about you would know that no one needs any help selling ammo right now at even double the normal price. There is a shortage nation wide that is even effecting police departments.

Whether it's a supply issue, or a regulatory issue remains to be seen...

OKIE DOKIE FOLKS, I had to call three times at the corporate office/ Customer Service to get a straight answer.

The customer service reps are scripting which means they have been handed a piece of paper by their supervisors with a memo containing what to say if someone calls and asks about the ammo situation, they tell you that they will have someone contact you in five days with an answer blah blah blah... But being a Customer Service Manager for sprint for 4 years I know how the game works.

On the third round I finally got some info out of the chick who told me that with the situation regarding the shootings and president and congress debating gun controls they aren't sure yet if they will be offering ammo anymore or guns in the near future.

She let the beans roll basically, and didn't follow the scripting the others were following. She may have been in a different call center and hadn't been informed to shut up yet like the others.

I called three local stores as I did last week and they are all out or nearly out of most ammunition and said they couldnt order any at this time.

These stores are located in southeast Missouri.

There is naturally going to be some stores that have ammo, that havent run out yet, ,and some employees who arent in the loop and dont know whats going on yet. Its naturally that way when you work for a big corporation.

What we know is, Wal Mart is debating behind closed doors to assist the government in stopping ammunition from getting into the hands of citizens.

They will do this thru ammo restrictions, Gun confiscation would get to bloody and they might die trying, so they will do it this way.

This is why DHS, Social Security, National Weather Service, and the other government agencys have been stocking up with massive amounts of Ammunition, which in turn has helped promote the shortages nationwide, including police departments.

They will stop the sales thru wal mart and the other big box stores first, and then work on the little guys, this will make Ammunition more scarce and what is available the average man wont be able to afford it. They will also ban Ammunition Imports at the same time.

All of these idiots running out and buying guns are going to feel stupid when they have nothing to put in them to shoot.

The government has already won, without firing a Shot. These Bastards are smarter than you think.



NOTE- I SPOKE WITH WALMART TWO WEEKS AGO AND WAS INFORMED THEN THAT ARE ALLOWED TO SALE TWO BOXES OF AMMUNITION IN OUR LOCAL WALMART AT A TIME.

Don't bother with Wal-Fart. Support your locally owned sporting goods, hardware and gun/ammo dealers. They are your neighbors and the ones willing to stand up alongside you to protect 2nd Amendment rights. Even if it cost more $$$ in the long run, it is worth it.

THey wont be selling ammunition real soon either. Kind of hard to sale what you cant get from manufacturers due to ban on imports and tough government restrictions.
