ALERT - CONFIRMED - Wal Mart is NOT going to order any more ammo.

Walmart has had a hard time getting ammo since right after the Newtown shooting and shelves have been sparce since then. This is because ammo sales across the nation went to 3X normal level right after the Newtown shooting and ppl have been buying everything up as soon as it becomes available. Supply cannot keep up with demand.

This is part of the story, but not the complete Story, but I digress.

They're saying it's due to the high volume of orders...

The walmart in my town had NO ammo in the case. None, not one box. I asked if they were out of all their ammo and the guy said "we had to pull it". I said how do you sell guns and not ammo and he said "I think we're going to sell it again eventually".

Made me wonder if there isnt something going on between WM corporate and the obama administration on this gun control debate. But I dont see walmart giving up their piece of the pie.

I stopped by my local gun shop this evening. They had a new Smith & Wesson M&P 15 22. I dont know how they got it, but it was there. I almost bought it. The thing that stopped me was the fact that there are NO magazines to be found anywhere, along with the fact that I havent seen any .22 LR around here in over a month.

What sort of price did they have attached to it OP?
Was it in line with the market/ for your area, or was it inflated like many shops have begun just as they did surrounding the 2008 election?

In '08, we saw even CETMEs priced WAY over what should be considered reasonable here in CO.

The owner is a stand up kind of guy. He has not elevated the price on anything so far. The price you would have paid a month ago is still the same today.

It was $449.00 plus tax. I have seen them a little cheaper, but not by much.
I am sure it will be gone very soon.
He normally has an inventory of probably 150 rifles and around 250 pistols..Right now. There might be 20 firearms in total left. Most of them are single shot shotguns and revolvers.

Just went by my local hunting store here in Canada, you can see spaces on the ammo shelves. Never seen it like that. I asked what's going on and was told "it's a supply issue, most likely because of the demand in the states". The only 30-30 they had left was 125grain 'managed recoil' and a couple boxes of 170 grain win.

Whether WM has decided to stop selling firearms/ammo in the US, nobody really knows.

I just recorded the audio to me calling the corporation and this is all too real. It all comes back to "we have to wait for the President to revise the new law for the Federal Gun Control Act. Then we will change our policy".

He said he could have upper management call me back and fully explain their store policy to me, but I don't really care to hear it.
