I had one last May.. EKG was normal but there was a blockage. They put a stent in and I'm feeling fine. I hope they can fix you up just like they did to me. God Bless!

It must feel sad and unfair, OP. I'm sorry it happened to you.

Hang in there. Take it as it comes and focus on getting better. The worst is over and, thankfully, your heart beat off that attack and it didn't find you alone or unable to get help. That said, I'd probably feel sad, angry, frustrated and frightened. But here you are. Ok for today, class of 2013.

There is breath, there is life, and the ever-present hope on the horizon in you.

Praying for a speedy recovery. These things just happen, Hun. Just hang in there and take care of yourself. Everyone has paths God has chosen for them and this particular pit stop in a hospital was one of yours. The inactivity is a good time to reconnect with God and Jesus and prayers for yourself and those you love as well as those who have been bad to you can help speed your healing. Hey man i have the same issue I am 50 i lost my brother several years back he was 46 and just dropped dead of a massive heart attack. A year later my favorite uncle on my moms side dropped dead of massive heart attack he was 51. My grandmother died when i was young but she died of heart attack at 51.My mother just died on Dec. 9 of a massive heart attack she was 76.I had 2 heart attacks in June but aspirin probably saved my life i started taking it after my brother died. I had 2 stents put in and right now all looks good. Niacin, vitamine C are vital for heart health. High dosed 2 to 4 grams a day.

I have had two widow makers , 3 stents and I feel lucky as hell to be alive. Not depressed at all.

I know you are scared, but please don't worry. I am a 49 yr old female and had emergency open heart surgery in August for a failed aortic valve. I was out of the hospital in 3 days and back at a very physical job in 6 weeks. They can do amazing things theses days.

Get fixed up now and I swear you'll be better than ever afterwards.

Healing comes in many forms: physical, mental, emotional.

3 things very important!

1. Selenium - regulates heart rhythm - it's why great athletes have heart attacks -- they sweat it out and their heart can no longer regulate

2. Keep hydrated with sea salt (pinch) in each glass (Himalayan Crystal Salt with 84 ionic minerals) - Dr. Batmanghelidg of "You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty" fame says dehydration is main cause of many diseases.

3. Omega-3 oil (flax oil) blended with yogurt (see Dr. Johanna Budwig's book "Flax Oil As a True Aid Against Arthritis Heart Infarction Cancer and Other Diseases") - [link to www.amazon.com]

These three are outstanding preventatives. If I ever had a heart condition, I'd make sure I did each of these every day.

Learn meditation as it will help. It may take awhile to heal and know that activities will not be quite the same, but it will be alright.

Most people do not know how close they ever are to having one, and some do not find out until they die from it. Changing some habits or doing things differently will come about and have to be done.
