OP - I have been given many opportunities to excel in my Life.

Most of them I took, all of them I have walked away from.

I'm talking about the opportunity to make a decent living and be totally responsible for my own security and future.

When I realized that no matter how hard I worked and tried to get ahead, I was still headed to the same place as everyone else.

In a hall way, in a wheel chair, asleep and drooling.

Now I'm not afraid to die, I'm afraid to Live.

Just surviving now and praying that I be kind to others, no matter what.

I am 19 years old. My name is Matthew. I used to drink alcohol, smoke marijuana, party, watch porn. But all those could be considered temporary pleasures, I may have been happy for the moment, but then after I may have felt sad. Like come on, is this all life is? I even played tennis, and won a tournament, and sure it was good to win a tournament, however still.. empty void in heart, but see, I prayed to Jesus. And now I have a relationship with Jesus. Don't think of a religion, or doing rituals. A true relationship with the Living God who created YOU and ME! Jesus desires to have a relationship with you, for Him to know you and you to know Him. im unemployed/able carless and homeless how can you fail more than me.. oh and i owe a thousand some odd bucks by the end of the month and i have not one dollar.

I am 51 years of age, and reached high levels of worldly success but about 8 years ago it all crumbled down, lost successful business, lost home, all savings went away, wife walked out with another, and I have had the hardest time finding employment that pays the bills for me and my 14 year old son.

Life has been tough for me but through it all I still trust my Yahuah(God)Yahushuah (the Christ.

I have learned just as many lessons on the way down as I did while at the pinnacle of success.

Some days I just want Christ to come back and end it all, life has become so mundane and not exciting.

But this is when I say "The Joy of the Lord is my strength" and I practice smiling and being happy. This helps.

My God is an awesome God, He has taken care of all my needs all my life and I am very grateful for all He has done in the past and what He will do in the future.

I am certain we are living in the last of the last days. I dont presume to know how it is going to all unfold but it is unfolding fast and I only need to take care of business for a little while longer.

Hang in there it wont be long. Maybe only a few more years.

I think you have a higher calling awaiting you. What better work could you in your life than that of the Creator God? He will reward you exponentially in the next age. Jesus is the Christ, the son of the only God, creator of heaven, earth, and the universe. And he died for your sins.

If even if you're somewhat apprehensive try saying this prayer at night in quiet before bed: (or something along these lines anyway)

"God I know I am a sinner, and that I deserve to be condemned as I've fallen short of the glory of God. I have a lot of mixed feelings and doubt, but I want to believe in you. If you are real Lord, and Jesus Christ is your son, the light, the only way, and the truth, please come into my heart and reveal yourself to me, and I will follow your lead."

And if you do pray this prayer, I know have confidence that God WILL reveal himself to you. And when he does get yourself a King James Version Bible (if you need one, I know a pastor you can email and he will send you one for free)

Are we the sum total of our failures or our successes in life? If our failures involve letting someone else down then it is our duty to address the percieved wrongs to those around you. You may be pleasantly surprised by their response. On the other hand if you sit there and feel sorry for yourself you may inadvertantly add to the list.

As for personal failures...look at them as lessons you can avoid in the future. Be honest with yourself. Life is about learning.

Don't despair OP.Allways remember that even a Turd has a purpose.....

At least you didn't get drunk, punch your girlfriend, fall over and knock the Christmas tree with your pants around your ankles.
