According to the local news just now......

6 to 7 thousand people applied for only 200 hundred
jobs.

My GOD.........have mercy on this nation.

That is 6 to 7 THOUSAND......THAT IS THOUSAND!!!!

FOR ONLY 200 hundred jobs.

That's pretty sad. We aren't much better off up in Ontario. A Tim Hortons opened up ten minutes from me recently, over 800 applications for 30 jobs. It's bad everywhere unfortunately.

Sounds about right to me. I don't even look anymore myself. I am fortunate enough to receive veterans compensation and work part time providing in home medical call for my blind sister. I am sure there are many others much more in need than myself but I'm also not some greedy prick that bases his self worth off his take home pay. I'm sure it's just going to get worse.

These people were out there in long ass lines waiting for hours to try to secure a job. THAT is all that matters but sadly.........so many of them won't find a job.

Funny how the unemployment rate is so low though eh? lol That must mean there are lots of jobs and good paying ones no?

If I had received a text saying that, I would also read it as 627,000. Why would you logically substitute the word 'to' for a numerical 2 when you're only saving space for one character? It doesn't make sense and would only confuse the reader.

Then, once you add all the dashes in as well, then that's 3 characters of space wasted when you could have just typed in the word. Plus, on a smartphone, it's far easier to type words than revert to numbers all the time if speed was the reason.. on an android smartphone you have to tap the '123' button to get to the numbers. So that's an extra couple of steps to get to all the trouble of ultimately confusing people.

See, this is where the human race is going downhill, we are becoming too lazy to actually type things out correctly and it's far more logical and sensible to just write it properly in the first place!

Well to make you happy I would go back and change the title but I can't.
