It's a sin | |
Nobody.... User ID: 16697477 United States 01/13/2013 04:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | God did not make us to sin, he gave us free will. One man sinned, and we inherited a sin nature. God, then sent the law through Moses, but the law only condemned. God, then sent his son to shed his blood (die for us) for the remission of our sin (John 3:16). Adam's sin corrupted the universe, so our sin nature is a part of that corruption. In the beginning God made everything and he saw that it was good. God, neither chose, nor created evil, we did... God only made it possible, as he gave us freedom. He gave us a choice to love him, or not. True Love is having the option, not to love. It was inevitable from the moment God breathed the breath of life into Adam that man would corrupt the world (and the Universe), that God was going to come in the flesh to live amongst us (John 1), to die for us (shed his blood), and to defeat death (rise from the dead). He loved us enough (as he already knew the course we'd take) to put himself in harm's way. His grand plan was to love us, and to have us fall in love with him. So, his coming here to live amongst us, to suffer a horrific death for us, and to defeat death was a part of his grand plan to love us, and to have us fall in Love with him. Jesus' death on the Cross brought peace to those who choose to accept his offer of salvation. In Christ, we are free not to sin... We are free to live in the spirit, not the flesh, as your mind will follow whichever is in charge. Your flesh (influenced by evil, Satan, demons, etc.), or your spirit man (influenced by God)... Remember, folks, God did not prepare hell for men, he prepared it for Satan and his angels.... As for us, he prepared paradise for us...John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. |

It's just that I struggle with my "flesh mind" now and have been for some time, I pray about it but it's still there almost all the time. I was going home yesterday in the car and put on the radio and there was this song by the Pet Shop Boys, I've heard it so many times but this time I really knew what it was about, although not everything I long for is a sin. I long to be free from this flesh/spirit struggle. NOW. |
