The Degree of Knight of Malta (Order of Malta)
The Maltese Cross, symbol of the Order of Malta.

This degree is universally associated with the Masonic Knights Templar. In the York Rite system it is conferred before the Templar Degree; in the 'stand-alone' tradition it is conferred subsequently to the Templar Degree. It is known by varying degrees of formality as the Order of Malta, or the Order of Knights of Malta, or the Ancient and Masonic Order of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes, and Malta. In practice this last and fullest version of the name tends to be reserved to letterheads, rituals, and formal documents.

Freemasons also work with Knights of Columbus.

And, unless you have actually been initiated, passed, and raised a Master Mason, which is obvious that you have not, then I AM the resident expert between the two of us.

Re: Freemason scumbags, you won't win
Freemasonry is actually an atheist organization on the whole. Maybe some American freemasons claim to be deists, but that is not really true about Freemasonry worldwide.

In Mexico, France, Italy, and Germany, Freemasonry is publicly recognized as a secular socialist organization. These are the Grand Orient lodges, and they absolutely do not recognize any God at all. Their main dogma is ''laicity'', which means the godlessness of the pblic square.

Most of the Freemasons and Rosicrucians I have met in Canada are atheists. They are from this atheistic Freemasonic tradition that broke away from the American lodges in a documented schism that occured in 1877.

In Russia, Vladimir Lenin was a member of the Grand Orient of Russia. He was member of this atheistic Masonic lodge in Moscow that helped create Communism. Freemasonry had a great part in the worldwide spread of Communism during the 20th century.

Actually it is a requirement that you profess to believe in a "Supreme Being" upon application. How you define that "Supreme Being" is between you and it.

Canadian and American Lodges have never been united.

Each State is Sovereign in America.

I know what schism you are confused with, but you yet to present a fact, so I take it you do not care for them.

There really is no hierarchy in Freemasonry.

The Titles are offices. Once you vacate that office, usually a year in American Lodges, then you vacate that power.

Masons are on the level.

Once you are a Master Mason, 3rd degree, there is no higher degree, but only more degrees which further emphasize what was taught in the previous three degrees.

The Military and Police are Masonic organizations are are throughly hierarchical themselves.

That is why it is really hard to discuss honestly with a Mason.

They took an oath to defend their "organization" no matter what! To the cost of other literal brothers in God!! The ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD!

So, I am sorry that you face persecution for it.

The World IS changing however, and you will have your day.

I am not going to go on record and say that the Lodges in Brazil are not corrupt. Perhaps they are. It would not be the first time that lodges were used for illicit activity. Whether it is or whether it isn't is irrelevant.

There are bigger things happening in the world than Freemasonry.

And I am off to talk about that!

You and the Catholics can have this fight for ALL ETERNITY if you wish.

It's not tenacity you see, but rather a hunger for the truth.

I do not have a dog in the fight between you and the fraternity. I care only for the truth, and so that is what I present.

I still have my own issues against the fraternity. They certainly are not perfect, but I have not seen an institution yet which is worthy of being called "Holy", for each divides the body of Man into parts and pits them against one another, if not in the flesh, then in the spirit.

Man nor Kingdoms stand when divided amongst themselves.

Hey, I agree, but would the Lord destroy his bride?

The very church he set up to direct his will materially and spiritually in the world?

I don't think so!

And he promised nothing will destroy her, no power in the material world or the spiritual world can.

I know its hard to understand, and accept, when you hold the gods of reason and nature in such high regard, and when the very institution you have belonged to, has taught you falsehoods and has trampled all over the holiness she holds.

Well, the things is, I have already addressed this, but I know not everyone reads whole threads (I certainly don't, only sometimes) and I have copped this particular bone many times already on other threads.

My basic position is this:

Inquisition

"(Latin inquirere, to look to).

By this term is usually meant a special ecclesiastical institution for combating or suppressing heresy. Its characteristic mark seems to be the bestowal on special judges of judicial powers in matters of faith, and this by supreme ecclesiastical authority, not temporal or for individual cases, but as a universal and permanent office. Moderns experience difficulty in understanding this institution, because they have, to no small extent, lost sight of two facts.

On the one hand they have ceased to grasp religious belief as something objective, as the gift of God, and therefore outside the realm of free private judgment; on the other they no longer see in the Church a society perfect and sovereign, based substantially on a pure and authentic Revelation, whose first most important duty must naturally be to retain unsullied this original deposit of faith. Before the religious revolution of the sixteenth century these views were still common to all Christians; that orthodoxy should be maintained at any cost seemed self-evident."

[link to www.newadvent.org]

but I presume you're referring to the Middle Ages?

"Officially it was not the Church that sentenced unrepenting heretics to death, more particularly to the stake. As legate of the Roman Church even Gregory IV never went further than the penal ordinances of Innocent III required, nor ever inflicted a punishment more severe than excommunication. Not until four years after the commencement of his pontificate did he admit the opinion, then prevalent among legists, that heresy should be punished with death, seeing that it was confessedly no less serious an offence than high treason. Nevertheless he continued to insist on the exclusive right of the Church to decide in authentic manner in matters of heresy; at the same time it was not her office to pronounce sentence of death. The Church, thenceforth, expelled from her bosom the impenitent heretic, whereupon the state took over the duty of his temporal punishment."
