Yes, the Earth precesses and nutates. Neither of which remotely happen in a time span that would affect the casual observer's view of the moon.
 Quoting: Osmos

Since how in just 8 hours?

PS - Hello, we are talking about the rotation of the moon in randomly days in about just 8 hours, not millennia.

.
 Quoting: DUCM900

You only asked if the "Earth is wobbling or something" and I answered.

Neither ways in which it does, would affect your view of the moon in "randomly days in just about 8 hours".

You have been told time and time again in this thread, it is due only to field rotation
 Quoting: Osmos

Ok this seems a clone af Astrotard user. SO no way.

Also notice, all images of Earth from cosmos is copyrighted by NASA.
 Quoting: Rxel

You really do live in another dimension, don't you?

[link to www.youtube.com]

Ever heard of, just to name an example, the SPOT satellites?

Also this (emphasis mine):
"NASA still images, audio files and video generally are not copyrighted. You may use NASA imagery, video and audio material for educational or informational purposes, including photo collections, textbooks, public exhibits and Internet Web pages. This general permission extends to personal Web pages."

Moon in his movement has many anomalies, but this is too much.
 Quoting: Rxel

People keep making this claim, and keep failing to provide any evidence for it.

And you know what they say about assertions without evidence...

Yes, I live in another dimension. (And this don't mean anything bad, I had more women than you). But to the core of our discussion, our discussion is pointless, because we see world differently. Like to say, with infrared device you can see things, that others don't see. Let's say in our case, I had this device, and discussion is not possible, because I will say, I saw that, you will say, no, this not exist, it is like that.
I'm not big fan of science, because it did more damage, than was useful.
I think this wanted to say OP, and thanks to this american couple, forgot which state, Ohaio or Florida, they have spiritual eyes.
Also read thread about women menstruation dysfunction, it's important to time measure (like Moon also).
These satellites fly in 80 km height, and can show only plain about China size.
Also look in magazine with Saturn portraited, it will say under: Artist impression: computer generated image.
Yes, NASA took off copyright (I was playing) but they about 15 years don't use actual photos.

I wanted to say, that there's people, who see world differently. Like always, truth is on the side of majority.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. ~Arthur C. Clarke

Scientists make preposition, that if this worked last time, it must work also this time. But human exists in zero point energy place, so it is infinite number of possibilities.

I can't prove anything, also you can't, you can only say: this configuration worked last time checked.

1 thing I can prove, with irrational number Pi 3,14 and to say, that when you look at circle, you see hallucination, not real circumference.

Carving a post into elements in an attempt to
refute the whole, doesn't diminish the
original... to someone with discernment.

An observation is not debunkable..
In cases such as the moon being off, the tilt being
off, etc.. lacking access to historical data and
modern measurement techniques, and the know
how to use them.. the average, casual observer must depend on the experts.

A true expert does not get emotional or irritated.
He will state his case, provide empirical evidence, substantiation and possibly peer references..

Something is wrong when the mere statement of observation garners such vitriol and insult.
The karma tells the tale.

As the bard would have said..

'The lady doth protest too much, methinks..'
 Quoting: Waterbug

Point by point..

- not a conclusion.. an example to illustrate a point

- the average person wouldn't know where to
find nor correlate historic moon position information and data covering a span of time

- who among the average Joes has access to precise time measurements
and lasers, etc. to measure celestial bodies..
and the expertise to apply them in comparison to historic data
that may or may not even exist?

- I never said that I could or couldn't do it..
I'm talking about the average Joe.
And who are the us that you speak of..?

- I don't do 'parties'.

- Experts don't frequent conspiracy forums to demean
those who aren't specialists in their particular discipline.
If they do.. I suspect they are flawed in character.

...

Classifying it as "off" is a conclusion, not an observation.
...

Historical data is available.
...

Also available.
...

Well that may well be beyond your personal capacity, but you don't speak for the rest of us.
...

Here's an idea, go to an amateur astronomer star party and ask them if it's "off." Do it, I dare you.
...

No true scotsman fallacy.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

 Quoting: Waterbug

No they don't. He's an amateur keyboard astronomer with a GLP following. In other words a fucking loser, who cites his own credibility and sits on conspiracy sites all day debunking an issue he deems "fucking stupid". Your no expert, your a fucking shill astro. His pedestal needs to be demolished. And his followers need a new leader.
 Quoting: aliensbro

LMFAO! "Keyboard" astronomer eh? Ok mr keyboard warrior, you want to "destroy" my pedestal? Alright, here's a timelapse animation taken by an Italian amateur astronomer on January 7th:
[link to 2.bp.blogspot.com]
In front of the comet he was imaging is an asteroid, here is a closeup centered on the asteroid cropped from his image:
[link to i319.photobucket.com]
Now from this information alone you should easily be able to identify that asteroid. Which asteroid is it and how did you arrive at that conclusion?
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Any response OP?

And normally I don't give a damn about karma comments, but this one "Can't wait to look down upon your spiritless husk for a corpse" crosses the line. That's a borderline death threat right there. I don't know which one of you assholes thinks he's going to be looking down at my corpse, but I assure you, I will not go without a fight.

Re: Moon totally on it's side right now
Ok I noticed something strange last week with the moon. We had a half moon but it wasn't the left or right it was the whole bottom half of the moon. Never in my lifetime have I ever seen anything at all like this so I was freaking out. However the news at 11 pm that night explained it they said it was a lunar eclipse. Easy explanation I guess. The following morning the moon was back to the right half showing so I am taking it that it was a lunar eclipse???

But according to the local news many people were stunned to see it because it wasn't normal. Like I said in all of my years 40+ I have never seen the moon like that. I look at the moon nightly, and see it every night that its not cloudy, so to me this was a once in a lifetime thing. I may never see that again, however it was awesome.

First off, I know nothing about the moon but I'm spooked right now, due to the moon here in louisiana, over the bayou corne sinkhole. It's 6am and the moon is exactly where it should be if it were 6pm. At this rate the moon will be in the middle if the sky at 12 pm. The crescent shape (dare I say smile shape??) is so close that I feel as though I could reach out and touch it.
I know I sound foolish (and trust me I questioned rather or not to post) but I feel uncomfortable and was hoping maybe someone had an explanation for why the moon is in this position. Thanks in advance!

I'm curious why you think the moon should be in a specific place at 6 pm. The Moon rises and sets about 50 minutes later each day as it progresses through its phases. Always has. In general, the Full Moon rises around 6 pm and sets around 6 am. The third quarter rises around midnight and sets around noon. The new Moon rises around 6 am and sets around 6 pm. and the first quarter rises around Noon and sets around midnight. Exact rise and set times vary based on your location (latitude as well as within your time zone), time of year and even local terrain. We are approaching new Moon so what you described is about right.

There is a real tilt of the moon as it sets on the horizon.
