I understand your view of him...I did not vote for him either time, and he struck me as untrustworthy the first time I heard him open his mouth. Even so, I cannot support this action because fire evokes images of violence, and I would not want someone to treat me in that manner.

In addition to that, when these sorts of things go on, how seriously do we take the participants? I wish for my words and deeds to represent myself and the truth. The guarantee here is that the respectability of the participants will suffer, and that will be the focus over the message behind it.

I have a pretty low opinion of Obama, but this doesn't sound like the solution to the problems that we face.

Remember him and his crew are the haters, and they are the ones that commit sinister deeds like putting names on a kill list. The last thing we need is more of that, and hate leads to bad things believe me.

I am an 8 year Navy vet who deployed many times for the fake "war on terror" with medals to prove it. I take this stuff so very serious believe me but I don't think that hating him or "them" will get us anywhere.

What will fix things?

In my opinion the answer is to simply take the power away from them. It really is us who give our power up to them, and if we didn't then they would literally be powerless over us.

How can we do this?

By simple non compliance for one thing. If they tell you to do X and you don't believe in it, then dont do it. Just be prepared for the possible consequences of your actions in doing so, such as those for not turning in firearms, etc.

It really is a pickle, because I don't want a civil war, but at the same time I don't want to (and will not) submit to tyranny. Living over here in Japan things are a little different for me than those stateside though I will admit.

All will be dealt with in the end.

Something about burning an image of him or any other President is disturbing to me.
I'm not down with worshiping him, or idolizing him, and I do find him to be an atrocious President. Others have done worse, as bad, etc. as him. I truly do not think he is the absolute worst President that we've ever had. I heard people saying the same thing about President Bush and President Clinton, and I read even worse things about prior presidents.

I don't know if it's against the law. I don't know why you would bother to do this anyway. I find it sick that ANY person who calls themselves a man of God would advocate the burning of any individual. The central message of Christ is forgiveness, not righteousness. Jesus said that it's not what you put in your body, but what comes out of your mouth that defiles you. Perhaps using God's name to enact vengeance is a bit tiresome considering that He's got everyone and their bleeding mother calling His name to smite their enemies.
