BREAKING: 12 Japanese Naval Ships, 400 Servicemen Set To Defend Disputed Senkaku Islands From China
Japan has made a decision to set up a special-purpose coastguard unit comprising 12 naval ships that would guard the disputed Senkaku (Diaoyu) Islands in the East China Sea, the islands that China claims are part of its territory.

According to the Tokyo-based media, the unit will also comprise some 400 servicemen of Japan’s Maritime Self-Defence Force, which is seen both as a border-guard and rescue service.

Japan has conducted a military drill apparently aimed at bolstering defense of islands at the center of a territorial dispute with China.

The Defense Ministry says it was the first time the annual drill, held Sunday near Tokyo, was aimed at island defense.

Japans self defense force is defence. 12 ships 400 people on board they must be really small ships. Look at their Cruiser compared to ours, identical with no offensive weapons. Take a good look at their tanks and jets and ships, look closely you with laugh.
A remember watching a show in Japan a comedy, and they were making fun of their own tanks and the fact they blinkers on them for turning. I would guess we told Japan to do this because they haven't showed aggression in a long time. BTW the islands are theirs.
