someone calling themselves John Titor started posting as being from the future, in teh early 2000's, told alot about wht the future looked like, and mentioned a civil war in the US.

Let's not forget that it's a proven hoax. It's not real. Some kid or guy or somebody just made up abunch of bullshit and posted it online.

If Titor is the real deal, then he is from an alternate dimension, of which earth has many alternate dimensions...

An alternate dimension is a divergence from the current dimensionn we are experiencing...

What happens in that dimension does not necessarily affect our current dimension...
