ALWAYS brush your tongue; loaded with germs!!!

found out yesterday how I got this bug....Im stepson and kids had the flu when they visited....why why would anyone sick visit someone else...

I had not heard of putting them on your feet, just around the house to absorb the airborne bugs :)

well It wouldnt hurt to do that....I put them around the house but only AFTER i got it....If I'd known the kids and step son had this dam flu when they visited Id had Freakin Onions everywhere lol

whats weird about this flu....u will start feelin better...maybe 20 minutes to a 1hour then BAM! It hits again with a vengeance..

can my dogs catch this? anyone know?

Have you tried colloidol silver? That stuff kills all sorts of nasties. You should be able to find it at health food store. And If you want to get your mouth really clean, gargle some coconut oil for 20 minutes. Also take at least 10,000 IU of Vitamin D everyday... Vit D might be a big reason why there's less flu in the summer. You'll get over it, you're body is strong by design.

I am not sure if you have tried this , but I swear it has helped prevent my family from getting it, as you can use it as a preventative. However once struck with the flu you increase your dosage. Take ELDERBERRY Syrup or tincture. There are over the counter elderberry syrups you can get, mainly health food stores carry them, or if you ever do have dried/fresh elderberries you can make it yourself.

It really focuses on clearing up any respiratory issues you may have, it also can naturally reduce fevers and it is an immune booster. I am not promoting any specific Brand of over the counter Elderberry syrup, but a few brands that I have tried, when not able to make my own was "SURO" or "Sambucol". I make my own since it can become rather expensive , but at this state it would pay itself off!

Yep, Colloildal Silver, works everytime. It should be sold in most health food stores. CS WILL kill all viruses. Its cheap! If you dont know about it google it.
I make my own,I keep a gallon around. cost me $1.00 to make a gallon.

That stuff sells out quick during bad flu seasons. In 2009 we couldn't find any in 2 days of going to dozens of stores.

CVS now has an identical generic product which is cheaper. I looked at 3 stores for more Oscillococcinum yesterday and discovered the CVS product. Same thing.

Vitacost online has a great deal on it; do some price comparisons and stock up.

My family members in medical professions have admitted for years that it really does work. Doctors who know this refrain from advising patients to take it since it isn't part of their designated treatment protocol.

This year I noticed in detailed state reports from CDC (saw a link in Laura Bow's thread the other day) most all doctors now are recommending vitamin D at least for prevention.

What I have read about vit D3 is to take 5,000 U during winter; jack it up to 10,000+ if you get sick or are around sick people.

I'M getting uu there like you, and I had it 2 years ago. I was sick for an entire month. I could not stop coughing at all and I could feel it sloshing around in my lungs.
I finally put my head on the floor and my feet up on the back of the couch, so I was upside down.
I did this after inhaling steam for about 5 min. And It actually worked
I could feel all the crap in many lungs running towards my head, on the floor and then it was easier to cough it all out.
Sounds stupid but gravity really worked.

oh....I have been having no problem getting it up.....but it never stops....I should have weighed it....GALLONS!

But the bitch is...I have a bad back and neck and I got that all messed up now with all the straining and coughing...

By the time the tongue gets a thick white coating you need a tongue scraper, OR

Dip a wet washcloth in baking soda, and gently scrub the tongue. Continue doing this, dipping a new section of the rag in baking soda, and washing the tongue to get rid of all the bacteria that has been sitting on your tongue. Wash the washcloth as soon as you can, don't really want it sitting around.

If you don't take care of this one little problem, every time you swallow you are carrying that bacteria into your system. So wash your tongue as often as it takes. Will also kill bacteria on teeth and help make your mouth alkaline.

B-12 will give you some strength and make you feel a little better. You'll still have the flu. Mucinex helps a lot with the stopped up head and coughing. Vit D3 to help immune system fight it off.

There's some great suggestions in this thread, try as many as you can. If I had to pick just one, it would be Oscillococcinum. Go to CVS and and get their generic version.

CVS store brand is "All Natural FLU RELIEF" found next to the empty shelf where the other stuff was.

(Don't worry about pronouncing it correctly. All anyone has to do is stutter out the first few syllables and the drug stores know what you mean.)
