the problem is, that they went for the gun owner's home instead, not his unarmed neighbor (who by the way, is quoted as saying he doesn't care if his neighbor has a gun in his house) Neighbor John Mascia said he thought the gun permit database should not have been published.
"I could [not] care less what they have in their home," Mascia said. [ link to newyork.newsday.com] So if his neighbor didn't care, why is this of such interest to the busybodies on the Journal News editorial staff?
