My mother has Alzheimer's . Had euthanasia been available she would have chosen it. She called me 8 years ago in distress that she was losing her memory and having problems. Now she cannot walk,bathe,feed herself or hold a conversation and has not recognized anyone in the family in 5 years. I would hope in the future that people could make a choice to avoid this kind of existence if that was what they wanted.
