[ link to www.youtube.com] This is really good. It puts several “old wives’ tales” to rest about gunshot wounds. Here are some of the facts: 1) Human tissue is actually quite resilient to handgun rounds. 2) Getting shot with a hollow-point (versus a FMJ) can actually be what saves you – significantly less penetration. 3) Human skin gives you as much protection as four inches of muscle – skin is effective as body armor in a way. 4) Small people can more often survive a shot from something like a 556 because the bullet may exit the body before it starts to tumble. They can get shot – repeatedly – and keep fighting. 5) He shows a video of a guy that gets shot twice in the chest with a 9mm and the guy runs around unphased for a while. Then he sits down, then he gets back up and continues on. You can shoot someone repeatedly and there may be no apparent indications that you got hits.
