Simply go to The Guardian's website and type in Steven Soderbergh's movie called Behind the Candelabra. He clearly states that Hollywood canceled the movie for being "scared" by the "too gay" theme.

I took the end of an era to concern the fact that she is 50 this year and/or because her and her partner just ended a long- term relationship. that's the announcement she open' s her speech with. did think the tone of her speech was bizarre in light of the fact that she's not retiring. but could be the fact that she is distraught over her personal life.

I think it has to do with an oncoming breakdown of society. Basically, there is a change of hands... in managing the country, and the world... it will be the best of times, and the worst of times, as every other time has been... a very different time approaching though, a lot of people will remember the way the world was before it... thus Foster's "I will continue to tell stories."

Don't think so. It was not just her it was all of them. I am 62 and have watched these people forever. I enjoy good acting and Foster is a great actress. But the entire event seemed more like a funeral than an award ceremony and they all seemed very unhappy and stressed out.

They are some of the most creative, best connected, wealthiest people in the world and they were broadcasting by their demeanor that SOMETHING IS UP AND IT IS NOT GOOD.

She's 50. She won a lifetime achievement award and felt like the prom queen. Values her privacy.

She hoped her mother (inside those blue eyes somewhere) would hear hear that she loved her and could let go when she felt ready.
