I think possibly Jodie and a few others are rebelling against the "system" in Hollywood. It is well known that almost all actors have to pay a "price" to get success. the "price" is set by the powerful Hollywood elites behind he scenes.

It is often sexual abuse and favors, though it can be other things as well. They are well known pedophiles and child abusers and always get away with it and never get exposed.
Because of the vast amounts of money at stake, everybody plays ball.

I did not watch, but it sounds like she is subtly letting them know she will be doing things her way in the future and not to mess with her. The tenseness is that "they" do not want this attitude to spread..I also suspect she has the "goods" on some very powerful people if she ever chose to spill the beans.

It seems like some of them come close to blowing the lid off the true evil that is Hollywood, but they always stop short for some reason. Perhaps they are instilled with that much fear of going rogue, and the fear is likely justified and very real.

In all honesty, Jodie could have made references to 50 films in one speech and only Mel Gibson would have tried to figure out all. Might explain his 'stupor" expression.

I thought the stone age comment was regarding her relationship with Randy Stone, her best friend, that could possibly be the father of her boys. I also thought that she might wright a love story, about the friendship and love that they shared for one another....and that she might direct it into a movie. She also hinted that she was single and headed into a new relationship. Just my thoughts.

I think she is just talking about turning 50. It's a new era for her. "Less sparkly" because she is no longer a young actress.
