Foreign countries, even if they speak English, take a while to get used and lack a lot of things people take for granted. Quoting: MuayThai For example, good luck finding a decent pizza where I'm at. Public toilets with toilet paper. Good roads that are wide enough. Comfortable climate without AC. Poverty at every corner. They just imposed "sin taxes" on liquor and tobacco, so that's a negative too. 12% value added tax on everything. I left in the winter of '09. I agree with a lot of what you're saying. I do travel to the US for biz. The food and weather is great. No where in Asia can you walk around in the woods and not have to deal with venomous and disease carrying critters. I will miss it a lot in a few years after it is gone. Emigrating is very hard and it takes many years to settle in. No matter how much you work at adapting to your new country, you will always be a foreigner and considered an outsider. |

Quoting: Saddletramp love is stronger than fear stronger than death and it scares the fuck out of them, because they have no love turn it all around, as if in a mirror world and ask yourself why are they trying to scare all the smart and good people OUT of the US? Must be something pretty good here, and honestly, they don't have the power to get all of us...we have to do it to ourselves, with the help of their lies and propaganda so turn it off and give it back to them. They are people of the lie and they have no soul, no passion and no love. Their strength is in illusion What makes humans powerful is their passion married to strength and reason. Humans scare the crap out of them, so piss them off and stick around and make sure you know plenty of others who feel the same way Amen... Turn off the propaganda TV and look around you and realize that heaven is available here and now Eh? Left in 08 came back. In my line of work I've known a lot of people who have lived in, or live part time in, or have worked in other countries... And these are mostly like minded people, but they ALL say in the end that America, flawed as it is now, is still preferable to anywhere else they've been... I've travelled overseas to a few countries, but if it's one thing I understand, going to visit, and living there, are two entirely different things... Yeah, it still wouldn't be THAT informative since most countries have a range of vast diversity. i.e.. one part may be a shithole while another part may be paradise. |
SevenThunders User ID: 15851599 United States 01/15/2013 12:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My assessment of the countries I've visited: China: Bustling insane, do you know where your wallet is? I think the police density is actually quite a bit lower than the US, which is surprising. However if they do catch you... look out. They are also intensely nationalistic and can't wait to destroy America as she 'rightfully' deserves. They will try to find out if you support the American military industrial complex in any way. A lot of people still worship Mao, so government propaganda is still amazingly powerful. Hong Kong: This is a great city! It is the embodiment of capitalism. The Brit.s were fools to give it back to China. A lot of the middle class retire rich there, which goes to show what happens if you can reduce taxes, be business friendly and control government spending. Still it's a bit too dense and urban for my tastes. Canada: Beautiful scenery. Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria are works of art in some ways. Calgary has the best vibe being a bustling oil town. However the political correctness is nauseating. Socialist and green group think is rampant and they delight in hating Americans. Their cities are pretty clean overall. I guess they just need to import more Muslims and third worlders to change all that. Israel: Fantastic country that is on the rise! Hard working people, very dedicated and they LOVE Americans. Moreover their women are surprisingly attractive and friendly. You would have to do military service to emigrate there, if you had a little Jewish blood it's easy to do so. Really it was a great place to be. The only hate we got was from the Arabs who seethe hate at any Westerner or Israeli. It's palpable and disturbing, though I suppose becoming more common here now that Obama is trying to incite race wars. We also got some trouble from the Hassidim who get agitated if they think you are christian. There is a lot of persecution against christians there, but it is mild compared to the rest of the world. Egypt: This place is a stinking cesspool of violence fear and hatred. It's not safe anywhere. Non muslims and tourists might as well paint a huge target on themselves. Carry around a lot of cash as bribes or be prepared to walk home through the searing desert. The thiefs and Islamicists are bad enough, but the police are universally hated and feared. I never felt safe there even when I was alone with a friend carrying a submachine gun. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9231180 Some third world nation without guns, or a military? There are lots of places to go that have in some ways more freedoms than the USA. No place is perfect, they all have their problems, and most of them have Left of center leanings, unfortunately. But there are some that still allow guns. And they all have militaries, just not big enough or high-tech enough to take on the USSA. It's all a question of trade-offs. When the oppression becomes too great in one nation, there are many, many more to choose from. Amerika has been taken over by evil Marxists hell-bent on destroying what's left of America, and plunging the world into a new Dark Age; a dark techno-Dystopia run by NWO Plutocrats. Will the subjects in the USSA throw off their chains and return their gov't to the limited gov't it began with? No, I don't see that happening. They've been fighting a slowly losing battle since the late 1800's and don't even know it. There have been a few gains here and there, but the overall trend is going down into the toilet. Unless it is reversed immediately, the USSA will become the new flagship of evil for the NWO's quest for a global dictatorship. Who wants to live in the Emperor's caged-in back yard? Once the guns are gone, it's game over. Unfortunately, by the time that happens, it'll likely be too late to escape the new Iron Curtain. |
