Yes- Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln, Reagan and Churchill.

I.e. the people whose opinions really, you know, matter.

On the bright side, Shelley Yachimovich & Zahava Ga'lion were both cock-blocked from Knesset.
And hey, Swin, I told you Israeli system is way more fun/intriguing than the binary American one.

Moah drama, moar, moar!

Au contraire, mon frere -- especially now.

What, did you think it was beyond, say, Madison's or Ronny's teeny-tiny brain to envision that some day, say, a hateful Kenyan narcissist - albeit a very clever & disciplined one -- might come along and would get hisemlf an idea to, you know, remake the country/constitution/way of life in his own self-loathing image?

Not so fast, pal. That's not how things are supposed to work. Hold your whores, as Americans like to say.

Re: Most Israelis disagree with Netanyahu on Iran: Poll
Swin, whatever the case, the win the election may just be pyrric, beware-what-you-wish-for variety because whoever is the PM & in the ministerial cabinet, for that matter... would have to deal with:

1) Iran nuke program & IRGC military/retaliatory might in advanced stages

2) Arab Winter/Muslim Bastardhood. Including eyeing Sinai.

3) Insanely armed Hezbollah & well-armed Hamas, PIJ, PRC, PFLP, AAMP, Tanzim, the usual psychos.

4) Protracted Recession in the West (where most Israeli exports go)

5) Boycott, Sanctions --> not so much the explict B.D.S campaign which has been largery ineffecticve----> but the more subtle boycott that Israel has been under for years if not decades -- including cultural, academic, economic, diplomatic. It doesn't led itself to easy quantification, but suffice it to say the damage from it is in the billions of dollars longer-term. It creates the climate that eventually makes BDS if not a war or Shoah 2.0 much more possible in the future. And it's difficult to combat -- no matter how much truth, justice & good-will Jews bring to the table all over the world, it never seem to be nearly enough. Maybe when Muslim/Marxist oil-reserves wane and/or when the world starts weaning itself off of it using alternatives... situaiton will change for the better.

6) Specter of 3rd intifada which is being currently engineered by both both bad cop (Hamas) and good cop (Abbasd). Would be suprised if more extreme elements -- the ones who always try to burn Israel down with forrest fires -- are planning on joining in the mayham from the rear, so to speak..... Cumilatively, that scenario certainly scares more potential investors away from Israel. Thus more damage is incurred.

7) Derivative from points #4, 5, 6... Netanyahu and whoever is the Finance Minister especially if its an un-/under-qualified neophyte Yair Lapid ----> they are going to have to have some bold, brilliant economic ideas up their sleeves, because of sheer number & nature of challenges ahead. Even during elections, you even have the eminently estimeed BOI chairman Stanley Fischer is call for fiscal responsibily -- raise taxes & cut spending -- sound familiar? Cuz, Voters just love austerity, especially in Israel. LOL, good luck with all *that*!

If Lapid is getting Finance, who is getting foreign? I liked Danny Ayalon style, but him and the Musky Moldovan had an inexplicable falling-out. Ron Prosor is doing a good if (at times futile) job at the U.N.

Where's Abba Eban of today? Bibi can't have PM, plus defense, plus Foreign, too -- it's crazy.

And speaking of Defense, why is Bibi hating on Bogie Ya'alon? And where's retired Ehud Barak figure in this?

Someone mentioned Livni as FM if Hatnua joins coalition. "Fuck me gently with a chain-saw"!

More plot, more thickening.

Have the counted the last 250,000 absentee votes yet?

That could net up to 7 or 8 more seats, no?

And why the heck are convicts/prisoners allowed to vote in Israel?????

Someone said that Bennett total increased to 12, while combiend Arab parties fell a notch down to 11.

So that's 61-59 balance of power?

Lapid wants universal draft. Good. But when Arabs are in IDF, will there literally be any more secrets/classified information that wouldn't immetiately be released to Israel's many enemies? LOL, I think not!

So maybe national service -- like firemen, hospital orderlies, etc would be better suited for Israeli Arabs and most Yeshiva students, for that matter?

But again, with Israeli-Arabs they are liable to START more fires than put out, and how will they take to instruction in Hebrew? Or should Israelis all learn Arabic now?

And won't Arabs start 3rd intifada if they are forced into service? That's practically their national past-time breaking & burning shit for no reason --> and now they may have an actual reason. You can count on Tibi and Zouabi to only pour more gasoline on that particualr fire, LOL.

Lapid also wants "peace negotiations" whatever the fuck that means. Abbas is even inviting him to Ramallah (but not Bibi, haha!)

See this is where Lapid being an amateur talking-head may really hurt -- for instance, does he NOT know that pulling out of West Bank would be effectively the end of Israel? Not just opening the country up for constant rocketry and invasion... but just because where most fresh-water aquifiers are situated? The cost of Disengagement 2.0 would be 50 times more than Gaza pullout in 2005 -- which cost Israel in the billions of dollars, when all costs calculated, by the way. Nevermind that it would lead to real civil war with settlers & religious....

Re: Most Israelis disagree with Netanyahu on Iran: Poll
Why is Benny Begin so eager to give up Negev to the bedouin in a lame-duck session?

Did Hezbollah/al-Qods HQforce get blown up in Golan the other day?

Fordo or Fordon't?

"What is going on here?!" (Betty Draper as Harvey got shot)
