These figures may be correct, however you should always be a little careful of this. Even though the guardian article does have the incorrect figures listed what I said still stands that the current percentages are far from values you'd expect to see for a takeover.

What I don't actually agree with however, is illegal migration of any race. This is actually a growing threat to the UK, but this is not race based for me. This applies to anybody that attempts to sneak into any country via the back door. We need to be far stricter about what happens to illegal immigrants once they arrive here. Lots of people do migrate here legally though and bring along skills with them and a willingness to work.

You definitely should follow the official references from Wikipedia, as they too show the 70% increase decade-on-decade, over several decades.
