Please Provide Good Sites/Information for HomeSchooling in Canada
I had two upsetting incidences in my children's school with in the course of a few months. Then today when I go to surprise my son during his lunch recess (he is in JK), I find him there in his "indoor shoes", playing in the snow and to top it off, the "play pen" as they call it has NO teacher supervising the students, but a few grade 5/6 students and one volunteer. Needless to say I was fuming over the lack of adult supervision and the fact that the majority of JK's didn't have their winter attire on.

Since when are 12 year olds legally allowed to supervise 20/30 students?

I wrote the Principal yet another email about this situation as well as another one that I will not go into detail about.

Am I over reacting? I run a home daycare and I can not legally watch more than 5 children. How can a school morally and legally think it is ok for a couple of 12 year olds to supervise a class of 20/30 students?

I am sorry, but I had to vent. If anyone who is in Canada and is homeschooling can provide me with any information that would be much appreciated. I am located in Ontario. I don't know if each province has its own guidelines or not. I have thought about homeschooling in the past, but my husband doesn't like the idea. This has really put me over the edge though.

Is there no other Canadian families on this site that homeschool? Or anyone with any possible suggestions of format/programs that I can work with ?
