What evidence do you have that the film was banned?
Quoting: Dr. Ben Schillen I have read that in many places, but no one provides any support. I think the movie was not distributed (by commercial reasons) but not banned. Probably it was deemed of no commercial interest, but this is only my speculation. No such thing as "bend" in the EU. Countries have their rating systems for the cinemas but you can always publish a film unrated and distribute it through alternative channels. Anyhoo, IMDB says they sold at least 650,000 tickets at the box-office, so this movie did have a normal release and was quite successful. I actually vaguely remember this film being mentioned in some TV-programme back then. So this whole "bend" thing is just a cospiratard invention that the conspiraloons keep repeating without ever bother checking. As usual.  "La Belle Verte" movie was prohibited withing all EU (European Union). Repeating your false claim doesn't make it any less false.
