Some parents on the Eastern Shore say school officials there went too far in disciplining a couple of six-year-old boys. Derek Valcourt explains the boys got into trouble for bringing an imaginary weapon to school.

What started as a recess game of cops and robbers at a Talbot County school turned into a controversy after two six-year-old boys were suspended for using their fingers to make an imaginary gun.

Many say a suspension is going too far.

“It’s ridiculous,” said Julia Merchant.

We would have all gone to jail in today's world. We shot each other with bb guns, fought with "sword" sticks, and played smear the queer on the playground. Not one of us grew up to be a criminal. A PC world gone mad.

I bet soon if you even say the word GUN... you could get in trouble

Parents these days should homeschool. Do you really feel safe leaving your kids there anymore? Unless you live in a tiny little community, where you know everyone, and it is a safe place, I wouldn't bother sending your kids to public school. You don't have peace of mind, not knowing if they are ok or not. and weird things like this happen too.

You know what, there are 4 kids in the house next to this I live in and they play with Toy Guns very very often, they got everything from an Uzi to a Dragunov over a SPAS12, M16, AK 47 (yeah, a bit excessive, I know) etc., Special Units would swarm this darn village if we had those sponge brain hyperventilating idiots who are responsible for that unnecessary overreaction, but hey......we have got our own sponge brain hyperventilating idiots, so we can double facepalm together, okay?

I agree. Even though I'm divorced, my ex and I agree that the kids get homeschooled. I gladly pay her enough to live a decent life so she can stay at home with them. F indoctrination.
