Dog Acting Wierd - Cat Too
Our dog just went nuts on a barking spree in our bedroom a half hour ago - went on for 10 minutes barking at nothing and sits looking at the door. Scared me to death. We let him out and he just wanted back in the house. He does not bark - ever. I've probably heard him bark maybe 4-5 times since we got him and then it was just one woof. Half hour later I was holding my cat and he suddenly acts like he can smell something in the air - went from purring cuddling guy into sniffing the air like crazy - very alert - just such a drastic change in his demeanor. Worried and hoping its not the dreaded earthquake warning. We're in SoCal. Did some searching online and it says animals can warn 3-4 hours prior to earthquake so I'm posting here in case - if it does happen I will be back to let you know about it. Gonna try to sleep now. I know we have quakes every day and we never feel most of them and Lord knows all the EAT posts - that is not me at all - I'm just a little freaked at the animals behavior tonight.

As I noted on another thread, since the N Koreans played with their Nuke the other day, I am expecting an 8.+ earthquake. The location will be between Japan and Calif. So hold on, it is going to be a Bumpy Ride.

It's when my dog and cat don't act weird is when I start worrying.
