Quoting: PRESIDENT PUTIN 32344514 The embattled dictator is said to have moved with his family and a select band of aides to the warship off Syria's coast. The move, which is said to have come about after the president lost confidence in his own security detail, sees Assad travel by helicopter to Damascus to attend meetings in his presidential palace. They don't want him to fall like Ghaddafi leaving the country in civil war. Regime change will take place if and when the Jihad loses some of its arrogance and negotiates with their Shia counterparts in Lebanon and Iran, as well as the Eastern Orthodox Christians of Russia. If the Shia and Sunni ever followed their interests and aligned, there would be one great block from Afghanistan, through Pakistan, iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, and the Sahara as well as Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia. They would have Russian and Chinese support, nuclear weapons, ICBMs, drones, and a fanatical army of battle hardened mujahideen. Secular Zionists would be wise to abandon the project, while the Religious Yehudim would probably get behind Netorei Karta and join the Jihad. When Assad goes, there will be some major realignments. Obama's policies will be a disaster for NATO. |

Perhaps he is getting a tour of what sort of capabilities he is up against rather than it being some local Syrians demanding change. Libya has become a depot for small arms into Africa, Syria would become a depot also rather than it being an end game move. Last Edited by MHz on 01/16/2013 10:26 AM |

Don't the rebels have anti-air missiles? Just knowing he travels by helicopter puts him at risk,he has too make that move in order to govern his country,he's screwed if the rebels get something a little more sophisticated to fire at him. |

Quoting: Botanator However I could be wrong. The rebels are making ground on him, I wouldn't be surprised if he has in fact ran off to be guarded by the Russians.
