They say they did not.

I don't see any tire tracks on it, so I really can't say anything other than there is a dead donkey on the road in the image they gathered.

Perhaps this will end up in the burgers in England?

The donkey is not dead in the road, he is just rolling in the sand. Animals do this for many reasons: Trying to get rid of fleas, cover the fur with a little bit of sand to help protect from the sun... Besides if you "walk" a few more frames backward and forward, you'll see that the donkey is doing so...
