Printable Guns

"With technology like this you can bet that criminals will still have access to high powered weapons no matter what type of ban is enforced. The honest and legal gun owners are forced to accept the fact that they will no longer be able to protect them self’s with equal firepower if they wish to stay law abiding citizens."

How many people do you think are going to say F the ban and just start printing guns them self? I see all this gun grabbing leading to a impossible to win war just like the war on drugs. What do you guys think?

Re: Printable Guns
Used CNC machinery became affordable on the market over a decade ago. For a few grand a guy can set himself up with a small CNC knee mill in his garage and make real guns out of real steel and aluminium. No need for fancy pants 3D printers.

Why spend a few grand when you can get a 3d printer for $190

Because you get a milled aluminium receiver instead of a plastic one.

Re: Printable Guns
Well a few hundred dollars anyway. I think that's just a kit or something for $190. Still though cheaper it is the easier it is to obtain.

I would also think plastic is much easier and cheaper to get your hands on then any metal.

3D printers - great, more junk and crap from China manufactured quickly and break even faster.

Here is an AR15 receiver from one of my metals suppliers. Just cut to length and mill off everything that is not an AR receiver. A couple of clicks and a credit card and it is at my shop in 3 days.
