Here's a good site about that:

Regarding Jesus’ birth—Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Micah 5:2: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

Fascinating stuff

Good post but again it does not say "I God will have a son born of my loin."

It simply says she will be a virgin. That does not have to mean a sexual virgin. Virgin also means pure, like virgin oil or virgin forest.

There was a nuclear war. A few years from now, all this, this whole place, everything, it's gone. Just gone. There were survivors. Here, there. Nobody even knew who started it. It was the machines, Sarah.

We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.

Given God's past relationship with the Jews, maybe he foresaw Jesus might be a problem for them and was deliberately vague about Jesus' coming?

Re: Where in the Old Testament
Romans 1:18-32

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. 28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.

He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom
,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.

Re: Where in the Old Testament
Proverb:30:4:
Who hath ascended up into heaven,
or descended?
who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
who hath bound the waters in a garment?
who hath established all the ends of the earth?
what is his name,
and what is his son's name,
if thou canst tell?

Da:3:25:
He answered and said,
Lo,
I see four men loose,
walking in the midst of the fire,
and they have no hurt;
and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Eze:37:3:
And he said unto me,
Son of man,
can these bones live?
And I answered,
O Lord GOD,
thou knowest.

The last half of Proverbs 8 is Christ's witness to creation` it does lend some indirect support.

I don't think that says anything, there are countless sons of God in the bible almost too many to mention.

Re: Where in the Old Testament
Read the below, the best so far, but in context it is almost nonsense. It speaks of when the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right?

Nothing in this verse suggests this will be the son of God.

Isaiah 7:10 Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, 11“Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.”

12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.”

13 Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel

15) He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right. (16) But before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste. (17) The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah—he will bring the king of Assyria.”

Isis was referred to as a virgin even though she was clearly not a sexual virgin when she had Horus.

The Virgin Mary was a repeat of the story of Isis who was considered a virgin, although she was not a sexual virgin.

Horus means virgin

The Arabic word: hoor = virgin of paradise, nymph

The suffix: 'us' means various things, but ultimately it means 'of one'

Horus = virgin of one = of one virgin

It says he will be called, Mighty God. Not that he is.

Jesus himself said he was the Son of Man. It was others who called him the son of God.

This verse correctly predicts people would call him Mighty God.

Why was he not vague about the Messiah being born of a line of David?

Why do Matthew and Luke both name Joseph as the father and show his line of descent back to King David?

Re: Where in the Old Testament
Saying "sons of God" have about 20 meanings, depends on context. In Old Testament there's nothing about resurrection of dead or Messiah, it was introduced only in Talmud.

Your question can only answer Holy Spirit, if God will want.

Exactly, so there is not truth what-so-ever that Jesus was God's son. Zip, it is all piss and wind, absolute bullshit.

Never does God say he will birth a son of his loin.

All he says is his servant will be highly raised and the one verse in the OT says he will be called Mighty god. That's it.

You're not thinking. Either you believe he is the Divine Son of God or you don't. Its that simple. People seek after a sign or some kinda definitive proof but its a faith issue. Always was.
