Despairing godlikeproductions fan
I just need to rant right now, feel like my life is shit and i am only 22 years old. I flunked out of school so now 30 grand in debt with nothing to show for it, can't find a good job ( that's pretty much everyone...I know) and mostly I've lost motivation, feel like shooting myself would be the best solution. I've tryed to accept Jesus into my life, but I don't feel any different, guess I have a problem with patience too. I know this isn't the site for my kind of grief, but this is the place I come most often. Don't know whether I have the drive to stick it out and get to the other side where I can look back and admire how I survived, or whether I should just get rid of myself before I mess up my life even more.

Even though there are people around moving and relating to me but i often see myself as being alone and without support.

Being that therefore i have but myself to get things going for me. Which is fun, since i'm left to my own devices to do the best i could.

And i hope you'll find your way soon too. Best of luck.

Op you only have on average 70-80 years on this planet. Time goes by real fast and so there is no need to rush it, it will come faster then you can imagine.

You are living in the most interesting times that earth has ever seen. Sit back and enjoy the show a little. The hell with the debt...its all theft anyways. They can't get blood out of a turnip.

You will totally not be the same person you are now in another ten years. Do not give up.

Throw yourself whole heartedly into Bible study -- reading the Bible itself, comparing scripture with scripture, not reading a book about the bible.

Start attending church services at one church regularly.

Practice good nutrition, fruits and vegetables.

Get some physical exercise, even if it's just walking.

Become an asset to someone else; help people you see needing help, like carrying groceries, simple as that.

Work for free -- it will keep you getting out and about and interacting with people.

One way to earn some cash is selling stuff on ebay. It's winter, so go to indoor flea markets and pick up really cheap stuff -- books are a great choice, and sell them on Amazon -- no cost to list and you can make a little on each book even if they list for a penny. Use media rate mail, wrap them in a role of craft paper from walmart and clear tape, so no expensive packaging, and use media rate mail -- this will keep you occupied and you'll learn about new things. When spring comes, there's lots to be had for resale from yardsales. Local auction houses are great too -- whole bins of books and stuff for sometimes 50 cents.

Just being bored is very depressing -- read your newspaper for local free things to attend, like library lectures and such.

If you are really on the edge, please, please call a suicide hotline and talk to them. Please.

Re: Despairing godlikeproductions fan
hang in there, really.

5 years ago a young man close to me survived a suicide attempt. He wound up ditching college also. Today, he is 22, finally in a stable relationship, has held a job at a chain pharmacy which is now a junior management position with heath care and other benefits, and has just signed a lease for decent a rental share with a few friends (two couples.)

His job was not what he aspired to, but it's now a steady one with perks, and room for advancement. The pay is not optimal, yet it allows him to slowly pay off debts. His path may have taken a turn he did not anticipate, but he continues to work through it.

He's regained the confidence that eluded him that near-fatal night.

It might be helpful if you sought out some therapy. The young man I mentioned was able to get this free through an agency at the hospital that saved his life. There are probably similar agencies in your area.

========

Do not despair. Live is both a challenge and learning experience, and those who have faced obstacles and kept on going may be better equipped to handle new problems, having already faced some nasty ones.

Hang in there. You have GLP behind you, you know!!

Took me nearly 20 yrs to free myself from mistakes i made in my teens(financial/educ) don't fret too much about yer debt.Learn to breath properly and control heart rate, exercise is a must as suggested above, whatever is troubling your conscience clear it that has to be a priority too or you will never feel good, that is a fact.If you do choose a church make sure they are genuine/healthy not preaching doom n fear. All churches have some good decent folk in them just some of the pastors get in the way imo.Hope you get smiling don't click on the poison/hate threads here that's not healthy, clean yer environment/head space. In fact this place is best used if you just spend 10 mins a day scan your interests turn it off and get outside and mix.The healthy diet and clean water advice from above is great advice too imo.GL

Just start working.
Stuffing envelopes, delivery person, slaughter floor squeegie guy.

Whatever you can find. Best would be 3 or 4 part-time jobs.
The goal here is to help you figure out what you can tolerate doing to get by in life.

One of my best years was when I was a courier in the day, a bartender at night, and a janitor at a medical clinic some time before 7AM, 6-days a week.

I hate to break it to ya, OP, but it sounds like you're a mediocre individual destined for a mediocre life filled with drudgery. All I can recommend is finding a shit job, becoming an alcoholic and buying lottery tickets.

Nothing changes instantly when you accept Jesus, it takes a while, it's not magic, they haven't bomped you over the head with a magic wand.

Can you go back to skewl, is the course worth it?

Well now that you have all the time in the world. Watch this.

Thread: Know Your Enemy Series (Video Bible) - (NWO - Illuminati - RFID - Spirits) (Page 2)

I'm 21 and have no prospects of school or even "making it". I'm single and in debt but on my spare time I learn, music, drugs and movies got old. So I learn.

Lean anything.

Guitar or how too skateboard or how to program.

You will make it, every dog has its day, everyone gets a chance at love.

Just focus and live in the moment.

Re: Despairing godlikeproductions fan
Well jeez don't go kill yourself literally before you've made every other sacrifice first ya young fool. That your life feels so shit at all shows a sense that you deserve much better. At least better than no life at all lmfao! So what are you prepared to do to seek that out? Think outside the box for starters and change your shit up. If your mojo has left the building then you need to step out and get after it. Your life is meant to be awesome with you at the centre of it and yes that includes the hard lessons you learn from fucking it up. Best practice compassion for your mistakes cos you're gonna make plenty more. Life is messy and fucked up AND also better than you ever imagined, dance with it. So much of it comes with an element of risk of failure or worse but one learns to welcome that also. Like feeling shit, our fears and anxieties inform us where we are at and when we need to go from there. No need to panic and freeze up or worse bite a bullet lol. If so, you greatly underestimate yourself, go stand in front of a mirror and show more regard and respect. You deserve it.
