If that's the case, this hoax has very ancient origins - considering what can be found in humanity's historic art and writings, for example (to say nothing of the knowledge still held by indigenous cultures around the world on this subject).

"In 1975, a former CIA official, Victor Marchetti, wrote a best-selling book called the CIA and Cult of Intelligence. The CIA took him to the Supreme Court to attempt to block publication of that book. Ultimately, a redacted version of it was released. It was the first book in American History to be censored by the US government. The same Victor Marchetti, in 1979, wrote an article for Second Look magazine. Thirdly, Victor Marchetti said, in his opinion as an intelligence analyst with CIA for, I think, eleven years, he was of the opinion that no government on Earth will voluntarily release this information, because it would jeopardize the status quo, i.e., their power. Even if there's no hostile intent or implication to the visitations, if indeed these are extraterristrials, governments have nothing to gain and everything to lose by admitting the reality of this. And Victor Marchetti's opinion is that this will probably come out by some action on the part of the phenomenon itself, which will leave no doubt in anyone's mind. If most of us have lost our trust in the Gov't, don't ask them to disclose anymore. Do it ourselves to each other. When you see something, record it if you have a camera on you. Even bad footage is better than none. Remember just because one is fake does not make them all. Most people don't walk around with expensive cameras or tripods, so try not to criticize unless you are offering to buy them better equipment.
I think a lot of these people who cry fake before checking out anything, are trying to get people to stop filming or posting. Disclosure by and for the people. Also remember to spread the Love you have. Just one person in a shitty mood can spread that mood to a lot of people, but a friendly real smile from your eyes will cause more of the same. I sometimes experiment at stores and go out of my way to be nice to someone or praise people on how great in some way their child is. Kids love it if you wave bye bye at them when they leave the Grocery line. I always get warm smiles back from parents no matter what race. Peoples are peoples. I claim only one race that I know of and that is Human.
Love all, and keep looking upwards and inwards and never stop learning.

The Roswell Incident

Stephen Bassett: "When General Ramey walks in to hold this staged press conference, he had a memo in his hand; it was purely incidental. 7.3.3 - Why the Secrecy?

We are currently not aware of the extent of the knowledge that US military personnel have gleaned from all the studies that they have conducted on this subject either based on sightings or, as has sometimes been written, based on materials that have allegedly been recovered.

Whatever the case, it is clear that the Pentagon has had, and probably still has, the greatest interest in concealing, as best it can, all of this research, which may, over time, cause the United States to hold a position of great supremacy over terrestrial adversaries, while giving it a considerable response capacity against a possible threat coming from space.

Within this context, it is impossible for them to divulge the sources of this research and the goals pursued, because that could immediately point any possible rivals down the most beneficial avenues. Cover-ups and disinformation (both active as well as passive) still remain, under this hypothesis, an absolute necessity.

Thus it would appear natural that in the minds of US military leaders, secrecy must be maintained as long as possible. Only increasing pressure from public opinion, possibly supported by the results of independent researchers, by more or less calculated disclosures, or by a sudden rise in UFO manifestations, might perhaps induce US leaders and persons of authority to change their stance.

It does not seem that we have arrived at that point yet.

The Kumburgaz case developed between the years of 2007, 2008, and 2009 over the Sea of Marmara along the coast of Istanbul. Residents who lived in the area witnessed what they described as "metallic objects" and "formations of lights" in various locations over the sea and land. The footage was put under heavy scrutiny by special effects and photographic experts. To this date there has been no plausible explanation for what is seen in the video.
