Noun An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. Something one accepts as true or real; a firmly held opinion or conviction.
That is the definition of belief.
It is synonymous with faith, and opinion.
Verb Be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information. Have knowledge or information concerning.
That is the definition of know.
Given this information and your experience can you safely say you 'know' or 'believe' in a god?
Quoting: Urban Crusader To "know" God would necessitate talking with God. Can anyone honestly say that God has talked to them. Verbally. Can anyone honestly say that God has answered their prayer? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32415920 Verbal communication is pretty weak. Most who have 'divine' experiences seem to describe them as communication through emotion and even subtle changes in the environment . As humans we only have speaking to reference. But imagine being the source of all that is known, the programmer of all energy and frequency, it seems like you would figure a way to interact with your creations. As for physically speaking with this source, I cannot say I've ever heard such things that could be validated.
