333 in Gematria

.. is translated as "snow" and is transliterated as sheleg. Snow is a transitional form of water and signals the changing of seasons. See Job 24:19 and Proverbs 25:13-14.

.. is roughly translated as "the whole interior of the body" and is transliterated as kol cheder beten. This structure is found in Proverbs 20:27 where it describes the revealing nature of the spirit.

.. is translated as "my heart said to you" and is transliterated as lecha amar leb. This structure is found in Psalms 27:8 where it commands one to seek the face of God (see Isaiah 59:2, Psalms 27:9, Psalms 80:3, 2 Corinthians 4:2-6).

.. is translated as "day of trouble" and is transliterated as yom ra'. See Psalms 27:5 and Jeremiah 51:2.

.. is translated as "covering cherub" and is transliterated as cakak kerub. The covering cherub is cast down in Ezekiel 28:16-17.

333 is the value of "Chanukah candle" . This relates back to 333 equalling the value of "all the inner chambers" as the beginning of that verse is, "The candle of God is the soul of man, searching through all the inner chambers." The Chanukah candle gives off essential light that has the power to cleanse all of an individual's inner chambers. This is learnt from the Talmud's statement that it is proper to light Chanukah candles until the foot of the last merchant leaves the marketplace. The word for merchant is cognate with the word for "rebellious" implying that the Chanukah candles have the power to rectify all feelings of rebellion (against the Almighty) from even the innermost chambers of the psyche.

333 is the value of "forgetfulness" specifically of the Almighty. Snow (whose value is also 333) therefore alleviates forgetfulness.

333 is 9 • 37, where 37 is the value of "the singular one", the highest of the five levels of the soul. This reflects the introduction of the essential light of the crown of the soul (corresponding to the singular one) into all 9 lower sefirot from wisdom to kingdom.


I. FIRST OCCURANCE: GENESIS 33:3 - BOWING DOWN SEVEN TIMES

"Then he himself passed on ahead of them and prostrated himself on the ground seven times before approaching his brother". (GEN 33:3 CJB) & "And he himself, going before them, went down on his face to the earth seven times till he came near his brother." (GEN 33:3 BBE)

"He bowed himself … seven times" - The manner of doing this is by looking towards a superior and bowing with the upper part of the body brought parallel to the ground, then advancing a few steps and bowing again, and repeating his obeisance till, at the seventh time, the suppliant stands in the immediate presence of his superior. The members of his family did the same. This was a token of profound respect, and, though very marked, it would appear natural; for Esau being the elder brother, was, according to the custom of the East, entitled to respectful treatment from his younger brother. His attendants would be struck by it, and according to Eastern habits, would magnify it in the hearing of their master." - Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

So the very first time we have a 33:3 verse in the Bible we see Jacob returning to Esau and as he approaches his BROTHER he stops to BOW, seven times, until at the seventh time he is in the immediate presence of Esau. What I think is fascinating is the word here for bowed down in this verse is the Hebrew "Shachah" which means TO BOW DOWN but ALSO means TO SWIM. So if you look at this from a metaphysical perspective we see Jacob "BOWING/SWIMMING", seven times, corresponding to the SEVEN energy centers or SEVEN chakras, which he DIPS into, one after the other until He stands in the presence of his BROTHER or his HIGHER SELF.

II. SECOND OCCURANCE: Exodus 3:33 - MILK&HONEY, GOING UP, STIFF NECKED PEOPLE

"Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way." (EX 3:33 NIV)

"The English word "milk" originated from an old Anglo-Saxon word, meolc, which meant to milk i.e. the original literal meaning referred to the process, not the product. "Milk" is used to translate the Hebrew word, pronounced khaw-lawb, which means milk, or more specifically in the Biblical usage, cream, as in the richest portion of a substance.
The English word "honey" also originated from an old Anglo-Saxon word, hunig, which, like the English word, literally meant honey. "Honey" is used to translate the Hebrew word, pronounced deh-bawsh, which means honey, or syrup. Just as cream is the richest part of milk, syrup is a purified product of a natural substance e.g. sweet maple syrup is made from watery maple sap. In the Bible, the original words for both "milk" and "honey" referred to a refined essence, not merely plain milk and honey i.e. ordinary milk and honey existed in Egypt as much as it did in the land of Israel.

The "land of milk and honey" is one of the most well-known terms of the translated Holy Scriptures. But the gift of deliverance (which, as is obvious in the word, means to deliver, not merely to remove) to that "best part of the whole" has always been conditional upon obedience to the LORD - that's what does the refining. That applied to the physical promised land, and it applies to what the physical promised land merely prophesied - salvation into the Kingdom of God."

Now also we have GOD using the term "Stiff Necked People" which is, in Hebrew, kashe-oref - kashe: hard; oref: scruff of the neck. We have here in the SECOND OCCURANCE; talk of GOING UP to the land of MILK AND HONEY. A journey which GOD does not travel with us LEST HE DESTROY US ALONG THE WAY. Now about being "Stiff-Necked" - Take a moment to think about where your neck is located and what function it plays in your life.

Your neck is the vital connecting corridor between the most important parts of your body, your head and your torso. These are two parts of you that are absolutely necessary for you to survive as a living human being. A surgeon will tell you that there are as many distinct structures in your neck as in all the rest of your body. Air, food, nerve pathways and life-sustaining fluids such as blood and lymph have to pass through this narrow region of your body. And because the structures of your neck are packed so closely together, they require an absolute minimum of excess tension to function at their best. Clearly its important for your general well being that your neck freely allows what might be called efficient “biological connections” between your head and torso. But it’s condition also has a huge impact on the “mechanics” of your functioning: your posture, coordination and your ability to move efficiently. So here GOD is saying it is important NOT TO BE STIFF NECKED and those of us who meditate know why.

III. THIRD OCCURANCE - Deuteronomy 33:3 - HE LOVES HIS PEOPLE, THEY SIT DOWN AT HIS FEET, RECEIVING OF HIS WORDS

"Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: and they sat down at your feet; everyone shall receive of your words." (DEUT 33:3 NKJV)

Here the word for SAT DOWN is Yashab which also means to dwell, remain, abide and inhabit. Even to marry. So here we have the PEOPLE OF THE LIGHT, dwelling/abiding/sitting down at THE FEET of GOD which here the hebrew word for FEET or FOOT of GOD is Regel. Since regel - foot - is a very basic word in a language, it is not surprising that a number of other meanings derive from it. For example, the verb means "to slander" or "to spy", just as a spy - a meragel - walks about on foot. A related verb is means "to go about from place to place (for trade or gossip.)" From here we get the word markolet - but not makolet. Another meaning is "to be accustomed to, to be used to". Klein explains this as originally meaning "to go on foot", and from there "to go about frequently". From this meaning we get:

- to train, to make familiar
- to become accustomed to
- originally meaning "to teach to walk" in Hosea 11:3, now means "to train, to drill"
- ragil - usual, common, customary, and also experienced, trained (as in the prayer before Mussaf on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur -
- "the prayers of an experienced elder".

SO now we have on the THIRD OCCURANCE, sitting down / abiding in / dwelling near the FEET of God which might also be seen as TRAINING onself, DRILLING, becoming ACCUSTOMED TO and to become EXPERIENCED IN / TRAINED IN prayer! And it is by DOING THIS that we RECEIVE of GODS WORDS.

IV. FOURTH OCCURANCE: Numbers 33:3 - 1/15 - DEPARTING FROM RAMESES, WENT OUT, HIGH HAND, IN SIGHT OF ALL THE EGYPTIANS

"And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians." (Num 33:3 KJV)

V. FIFTH OCCURANCE: 2nd Samuel 3:33 - CHANTING/SINGING/LAMENTING, DYING AS A FOOL, ABNER'S DEATH

"The king chanted a lament for Abner and said, "Should Abner die as a fool dies?" (2nd Sam. 3:33 NASB)

VI. SIXTH OCCURANCE: Isaiah 33:3 - NOISE OF THE TUMULT, LIFTING UP OF THYSELF, NATIONS SCATTERED

"At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered." (Isa. 33:3 KJV)

VII. SEVENTH OCCURANCE: Jeremiah 33:3 - CALL TO GOD, PROMISE TO ANSWER, RECEIVE INFORMATION OF GREAT & MIGHTY THINGS.

"Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jer. 33:3 NASB)

VIII. EIGHTH OCCURANCE: Ezekiel 33:3 - SWORD UPON THE LAND, BLOW THE TRUMPET, WARN THE PEOPLE

"If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people." (Ezk 33:3)


IX. NINTH OCCURANCE: Psalms 33:3 - SINGING, NEW SONG, PLAYING SKILFULLY, LOUD NOISES

"Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise." (Ps. 33:3 KJV)

X. TENTH OCCURANCE: Daniel 3:33 (HEBREW BIBLE ONLY) - PRAISES TO GOD

"How great are His signs! and how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation." (Dan. 3:33)

XI. ELEVENTH OCCURANCE: Proverbs 3:33 - CURSE OF THE LORD / BLESSING ON HABITATION OF THE JUST

"The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just." (Prov. 3:33)

XII. TWELFTH OCCURANCE: Job 33:3 - WORDS SHALL BE OF UPRIGHTNESS OF HEART, LIPS UTTER KNOWLEDGE CLEARLY

"My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly." (Job 33:3)


XIII. THIRTEENTH OCCURANCE: Lamentations 3:33 - HE DOES NOT AFFLICT WILLINGLY

"For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men." (Lam. 3:33 KVJ)

XIV. FOURTEENTH OCCURANCE: 2nd Chronicles 33:3 (HEBREW ONLY) - BUILT HIGH PLACES / ALTARS FOR BAALIM / WORSHIPPING THE HOSTS OF HEAVEN

"For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down and he reared up altars for Baalim and made groves and worshipped all the host of heaven and served them" (2nd Chr. 33:3)



So to summarize 333 paints a beautiful picture throughout the OLD TESTAMENT that speaks of MEDITATION, SINGING/CHANTING, ASCENSION, REVELATION and REDEMPTION. I'd love to hear what you all think! And please chime in with 3:33 or 33:3 verses from the New Testament!
