Quoting: Let the eagle soar 1432291 Thomas Jefferson is one of the largest reasons why the Americans are in the quandary that they are in today. It would be more accurate to say that T. Jefferson believed that there were two enemies of the people. However, he never believed that his clandestine actions outside the government and above criminality (from a certain point of view) was not above the will of the people. To be sure, Thomas Jefferson would be standing at my side nodding in agreement, but saying nothing. People require to be led. The people of any nation-state without leaders are like a pack of wild dogs without a clear cut alpha. Savages with no regard for anything... even their own survival. Therein lies the fundamental flaw of the arrogant elitist mindset, which will eventually lead to their undoing.
