I lived in an intentional community once. It was great for awhile, but then it started to smell of mind control. When I left I felt as if I had escaped not just moved.

For someone to have the grit to accomplish the Citadel's stated intentions, you are talking a VERY strong personality, great fodder for a cult. It may not be intentional, but human nature starts to kick in... Who dresses MOST LIKE the Boss? Who is best at making the Boss smile? Whose kids are BFF with the Boss's kids? Whose house is closest to the Boss? Who has a German Shepherd from the same litter as the Boss's German Shepherd? Who is the Boss a little bit mad at?

It's really very creepy stuff and the antithesis of liberty.

We're definitely "birds-of-a-feather." I didn't think you were implying that, I just wanted to get that statement out there. The take over happened years ago: some say 1913, some say even during our country's (we are a corporation actually) founding. Things are definitely ramping up and coming to a head in the near future from all the reports and channels I have read and stay tuned to. Too bad this "place" is not already up-and-running; now is a bad time to try to get this thing done, because every Federal roadblock will be put in place to block the first breaking ground efforts. Or, they will let it all be built, and take it out in one fell-swoop. The possibilities are myriad.

Certainly is an interesting concept but I agree with others here that the members of the community would be sitting ducks if TPTB took a disliking to them.

Also, I'd say they're starting this project a little late in the game.

This is happening right down the road. According to stories in the local paper, the area they have picked for the site is remote, steep, and generally inaccessible. They have purchased 20 acres so far.

Unless they get some multimillionaire on board, this is going nowhere. The sheer size of this project would cost upwards of $10 million to build. We were talking about it at work and one of my co-workers mentioned that most multimillionaires aren't the bug-out types.

Local officials in Benewah County don't know any more than we do reading these stories, apparently.
