I don't know where OP went, but I'm not understanding all these answers. Are you saying that brown wheat is more refined than bleached wheat? OP says that brown bread makes him/her ill but not white bread or pasta.

White Bread feeds the bad flora/fauna in your system, and the bad flora/fauna tells you "It's all good"

Brown starves the bad stuff and scrapes it away, leaving an exposed digestive tract that will now be susceptible to irritation and sensitivity until a protective GOOD layer is built up over time.

Multigrain added to your diet, or whole grain, needs to be done along with a soft diet of fruit and vegetable puree and probiotics and/or yogurt.

MOst people just shrug and start eating this coarse stuff after years of the bad and think it's going to be instant health.
