I am getting ready to start my own consulting firm and will be purchasing my own insurance rather than going through my current employer... What he told me made me sick to my stomach: Quoting: tandym Currently the plan I Am looking at is 30% higher than the same one last year... but that's not the bad part... The plan the insurance companies have for funding the cost of Obamacare is to raise premiums on individuals who purchase their own insurance BY 75% next year. Our health insurance already costs us more than $800 a month for the family... an average mortgage payment... next year I will get to pay TWO mortgage payments for our insurance thanks to the "Affordable Care Act". NICE. THANKS (liberal) AMERICA. Wait until them trendy Libtards start bitching about their insurance bill. Then they will realize what they have done to themselves. Only and idiot or an EBT junkie would vote Obama! |

Resister User ID: 669410 United States 01/18/2013 01:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Obamacare was always about destroying the private health care industry and forcing people to be dependent on the government. Need a medical treatment that you can't live without? You will have to depend on the government for your very life before long. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

The Windber Medical Center will stop delivering babies after March 31 because its obstetricians are either leaving or refocusing their practices, and because hospital officials believe they can't afford it based on projected reimbursements under looming federal health care reforms. Anonymous Coward User ID: 15775729 United States 01/18/2013 02:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My policy increased last year, thankfully it stayed the same this year. I am with UnitedHealth California and pay $25,600 each year for a single parent with 3 children. I haven't wanted to change because it's usually not on option to upgrade coverage as easily as it is to lower coverage and I wanted to wait for Obamacare to kick in before I made any changes. I believe most lower coverage policies here in CA increased significantly this year Having worked in healthcare I know the dangers in not having medical insurance. I pay the $2,200 insurance payment each month first, before any other bills. I am just thankful my kids are covered, that's how much I worry about going without medical insurance! I dread what may happen once Obamacare is fully implemented. |
