If you cash a federal check, such as from the FTC, who's property does the check become after cashed?

I argued with the foreigner from a party store today that the check belonged to me, as I said it was written to me, but is still the property of the FTC, even after cashed. So, who owns a check after it is cashed?

The check is originally property of the federal system. The check virtually holds the monetary amount (fraudulent or not) and those funds are then released into another system (whoever cashes said check) hence making that paper worthless but remains their property as a "bill of goods."

My magic is both from Source and Soul. I love everything for what it is...a means to an end. I love the fact we are all puzzle pieces to a Grand Master Design.

Oh God, where art though? Why must our souls be shards, is it a dirty trick or lesson or a test?

Our free will is nearly begotten.

You seem to be in a bad mood even though you're shopping at a party store. :P I also didn't know party stores can cash checks.

No, not in a bad mood, just sick and tired of foreign fucking retards in this country. It wasn't my check, it was one of my employees. If it were my check, I'd had deposited it today with my daily deposit. Who doesn't go to party stores for Beer, and Mega Millions tickets? DERP.....And the argument was over who owned the check. I said the check belonged to the FTC not the person to whom it is written. I even had my employees ID as well.

Now days, some stores have you sign a slip that replaces their need for the check. So then they give you the check back because they don't want it. At that point the check is yours to keep.

Of course they do that when the check is yours from the start.

One would think the FTC would want their cancelled check back for their records.

I was under the inpression that all checks remain the property of the purchaser, as it is returned to them after it has been cashed for their records. Specifically federal checks.
