My Indian priest is leaving | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 15146787 01/18/2013 07:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He is a young man, devoted to his vocation, having given up everything to follow God's will for him. Quoting: K.Kool He is being transferred to another town, for a few more years, then probably Africa. We had a farewell Mass and dinner for him, at the local Indian curry restaurant, and he spoke about being grateful for all we have here, and how his fellow priests in Africa suffer malaria and live in huts with no electricity. I have only recently met him, but apparently he said Mass in bare feet, and in the washing of feet ceremony, he not only washed his parishioners' feet, but kissed them. It is men like him, who are the strongest, undeniable living testimony, to the reality of the Holy Spirit being active in the world.. their acts of faith and devotion in choosing to become priests amaze and humble me. It's all subjective, so, whatever floats yer boat. |

We may as well just agree to disagree now. |

Quoting: K.Kool This being your intent, hold onto it. Someone always notices. The new priest is Irish :) He's been in Africa for the last twenty years, I'm looking forward to some conversations with him! I have a feeling my eyes are going to be opened even wider. |

| TastyThoughts User ID: 1308649 01/24/2013 11:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ummm, no - your tasty thoughts puzzle me... what has an ancient dynasty got to do with a modern Catholic priest, other than that they come from the same area? Oh, I thought you meant Indian Priest as in Hindu Pandit. I met a Pundit and spoke with him after hearing a presentation once. He told me about Rajaraja. He spoke of a story where a god (space alien/fallen?) took Rajaraja's wife in a Vimana and Rajaraja battled him in the sky to get her back. I thought it may have something to do with Desert Glass. [link to www.oocities.org] It may have been Rama he was referencing and interrupted by another to distract me from making a connection between the Fallen and Desert Glass. That same guy who interrupted says there is no such thing as Free Will. |
